Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what happened to Klammer? (2nd to Frankel in the Royal Lodge as a 2YO).

After he won the Horris Hill for Jane Chapple Hyam he left to race in Hong Kong. I have been keeping an eye out for him as well but he hasn’t yet run so I am assuming there has been a problem.

The RP database is always hopelessly out of date for HK racing, as they’ve yet to re-name him, but those above links confirm he has run. 5 starts, yet to win in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong isn’t a good place for most horses because it’s so hot and noisy, most get gelded and Klammer was no exception. He’s been slow to acclimatise but seems to be coming to hand now. He’s being kept to the shorter distances for now but is only a moderate handicapper over those trips, but he’s expected to improve as the season goes on.

Also in Hong Kong, almost all of these haven’t raced in HK yet:

Dominant (3rd to Twice Over in York S.)
Roman Soldier (is being rested and probably won’t race in the near future)
    Frederick Engels (July S. winner)
Vladimir (3rd behind Dabirism in Prix Morny on Arc day)
Codemaster (2nd to Strong Suit in Jersey S.)
St Barths (3rd to Power in Coventry S.)
Ziyarid (brave second to Treasure Beach in the USA’s Secretariat S.)
Willie Cazals (2nd in Italian Derby behind winner Crackerjack King and 3rd Danedream)
Alexander Pope (won the Gallinule S., 3rd to Nathaniel in King Edward VII S.)
Smartcity (Gallinule S. 3rd to Alexander Pope)
Glaswegian (ran in French Classics and narrowly beaten in French G2 by Pisco Sour with Colombian 3rd)
Havane Smoker (runner up in the French Guineas)
Pausanias (2nd in Criterion S. to Libranno)
    Dunboyne Express
Rich Tapestry (4th in Ballysax S. to Banimpire)
Oracle (3rd in the Irish Guineas, Jersey S. 4th behind Strong Suit)
Charles The Great (Molecomb S. 3rd to Requinto)
    Best Hello
Chef (2nd in Thoroughbred S. to Neebras)
    .
