Had a look at race for next year
GAELIC WARRIOR 14/1 Power
He a strong stayer at 3m won grade one 3m at Punchestown Festival. Even if keep him at shorter trips rest of season
No doubt Rich Ricci has talked about King george for him when looking at targets for him for 2024 a right handed track at 3m like Kempton should be perfect for him
December 27, 2023 at 15:55 #1675238Even Garlic Bread will have his work cut out if Il Est Francais comes over.
Would be some race, though.
December 27, 2023 at 15:58 #1675239If hes well, Il Est Francais will take some beating.
Id be dreaming if I could get 5/1 now..if only.
7/2 with billy.December 27, 2023 at 16:12 #1675241Even Il Est Francais will have his work cut out if Gaelic Warrior comes over
Blackbeard to conquer the World
December 27, 2023 at 21:10 #1675289As stated elsewhere, the 8/1 with Coral was a gigantic rick.
Even the 7/2 is fair – Il Est Francais has only got to show up.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"December 28, 2023 at 00:20 #1675316Gaelic Warrior will need to be very special to beat Il Est Francais in my opinion.
Unless my eyes deceived me, the French horse looked a bit of a monster, a chasing version of Constitution Hill.
December 28, 2023 at 15:24 #1675405The King George will be some race next year with both Gaelic Warrior and Il Est Francais turning up hopefully. Gaelic Warrior is still great value at 10s imo.
December 28, 2023 at 18:55 #1675430Sorry admin double post from me
December 28, 2023 at 18:56 #1675431I’ve had a bet for a bit of interest really + I think that 14-1 on Shishkin is ok from what I seen this year
December 29, 2023 at 00:30 #1675488IEF’s speed at getting from one side of a fence to the other is not something I have seen from a horse other than the recordings I have viewed of Mill House in his pomp, they both spent little time in the air over a fence.
I have been very impressed by GW jumping in his two chasing starts but he jumps over his fences whereas IEF almost hurdles across them….probably as a result of the French fences he has been schooled over and the ones that they actually jump through rather than over.
On a speed track like Kempton, of the two I would have to be with IEF and the fact that until Tuesday’s run on good ground he had run on nothing but very soft to heavy French ground is even more impressive and shows how versatile his is ground wise – he stayed the 3m well at Kempton but up until his run prior to that (over 2m6F) he hadn’t gone further than 2m3F, personally I would really like to see him in the Champion Chase rather than the French Gold Cup which at 3m6f I think might be a bridge too far for a horse with that high of a cruising speed.
January 12, 2024 at 00:48 #1676962Banbridge a real favourite of mine, and along with Janidil, they’re the pair I’m looking at at the moment.
Janidil not quoted, but I’ll happily have Banbridge just now at 40’s
Banbridge 40’s
January 15, 2024 at 10:46 #1677447I had a real notion for Klassical Dream in this, but unfortunately his season has been curtailed due to injury. If there were positive vibes, and he looked to be coming back early next season, then I might just be tempted.
Mind you, all immaterial if the same Il Est Francais turns up
February 18, 2024 at 03:58 #1681541Il Est Francais 3-1
