Bristol De Mai will come here and unless something happens to him I would imagine Footpad will stay in Ireland.
Footpad wouldn’t be good enough to win this in my view unless he is totally transformed.November 22, 2019 at 10:59 #1475497Don’t think BDM will come here at all. He’s been here and hasn’t performed; he really has flopped at Kempton spectacularly following a dominant Betfair Chase performance. He’s best when he’s fresh. I think he’ll have 1 run between Haydock and Cheltenham but it wont be this; think they’ll target a race they can win and then head to Cheltenham nice and fresh
November 22, 2019 at 11:38 #1475500It actually depends if he wins tomorrow having just seen this…
Looking beyond the weekend, Twiston-Davies may give Bristol De Mai the chance to make it third time lucky in the Ladbrokes King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day.
He added: “Assuming it all goes well, it will be exactly the same as last season. If he wins this nicely, you have got to think about the King George and the £1m (bonus). Without the £1m, you probably wouldn’t go.”
November 22, 2019 at 13:18 #1475502I think (hope) Bristol De Mai does head here, obviously it all depends on how he
goes tomorrow. I have a huge soft spot for him and I think this could be his year.
NTD said in an interview that he thought he was even better this year, and although
NTD is often bullish about his horses, if he has improved he could hopefully lose this
tag of being great at Haydock and not elsewhere. I agree with your comment Vautour
that BDM was disappointing 2 years back in this, he didn’t jump well and couldn’t get
into his rhythm, but I don’t think last year was equally bad. I thought he was travelling
well when he came down at the 9th, he jumped it well enough but knuckled on landing. I
think he’s worth a shot in this and I don’t think that hopes of the bonus (triple crown)
are completely pie in the sky, I thought with 2 to jump that he was in with a real shout
in the Gold cup but he tired after the last. Nonetheless he only has 6L to make up on a
very good Al Boum Photo. Haydock will tell us where he’s going and if he is a better horse
this year. I’ve taken the 200/1 with Betvictor for the Triple crown, I thought that was
just too big to turn down. He’s best priced 100/1 now. I admit it might be a bit heart
before head, but I’d love to see him pull it off.November 23, 2019 at 14:22 #1475632Swapped Altior with Cyrname.
November 23, 2019 at 15:10 #1475646Took 12s for the Betfair King George double just before the off on Lostintranslation. Halfway there anyway.
November 23, 2019 at 15:22 #1475650I’ve got a double ticket with 12-1 king George and 10-1 goldcup ….lol I’ve just made sure it’s safe
November 26, 2019 at 16:58 #1475931Lostintranslation should be fav in my opinion
He has the perfect combo of speed and stamina for this
Will be very tough for cyrname to make all over 3 miles in such a deep race
November 26, 2019 at 17:55 #1475938LOSTINTRANSLATION looked like he could of went round again the other day, Thats the nag that wins this!
November 28, 2019 at 23:25 #1476060Frodon a Non Runner now, but with a profit on the race already, thanks to Cyrname and La Bague Au Roi, I’ll look to add a few pounds of it towards an outsider.
I’m more comfortable with that, as it’s my usual approach to enjoy this without a serious bet, and normally just rely on a loud one for interest.
With that in mind, looking at this trio….
Elegant Escape 100’s
Valtor 100’s
Belami Des Pictons 150’sDecember 10, 2019 at 22:53 #1477070My favourite Jumps Race. I will happily have an ante-post bet on this.
Footpad was always a very likeable horse, and I know that he’s a Mullins horse and he might not go, but I will take 12-1.
December 14, 2019 at 19:15 #1477348Mullins said in the paper today that this is footpads target so you should get a run for your money kris
December 14, 2019 at 21:05 #1477355Cyrname has these off the bridle 4 out I would think. 2/1 a great price. What price would Altior have been if he had been the winner LTO? Odds on I’m sure.

December 14, 2019 at 22:00 #1477358I’m not 100% sure he will stay 3 miles in a competitive race
He didnt hit the line that hard last time
He looked to me like hed be better down in trip rather than up in trip, he made altior look slow
It’s going to be a fascinating race, if cyrname does stay then he will be an absolute monster at 3 miles
December 15, 2019 at 04:01 #1477367Cyrname needed his first run just like Altior did so will strip fitter. So connections will be hopeful about the trip.
December 17, 2019 at 14:56 #1477483There’s no danger Cyrname needed the run. From the pictures of the horse in the paddock he was hard fit and had been away a few times to get ready for Ascot.
December 18, 2019 at 10:38 #1477500If its as easily as simple as all that to get a horse 100% fit, I wonder why Baron-Von-Henderson-Back didn’t bother to do that with Altior.
