Last week I pointed out that an official time was 20.0s out, and compiling the speed figures for yesterday’s evenings 6.15 at Kempton I thought it had happened again, I hand timed the race at it was correct.

The going at kempton yesterday was given as standard to slow, I had it as standard to fast, and even with the +0.25s/f going allowance correction I gave the surface, the winner Miracle Garden still smashed his handicap mark by 15lb.

If the going at Kempton was standard to slow, then Miracle Man has just improved his handicap mark by 40lbs, I don’t think so.

    Mike.
