Probably exposed myself a lovely three year old here to the masses,

They harrowed the track after R2 to slow the surface down. First two have to be cut loose on that basis.

I wonder who the joker at the RP is who described tonight’s weather conditions at Kempton as ‘light early, getting dark’?

Interesting meeting at Kempton last night and this morning the Official handicapper should be pulling his hair out because he dropped

    Maggie Pink’s

    official rating by

    10lbs

    from

    48

    to

    38

    and she suddenly improves

    28lbs

to my new estimated figure of

    66

The going again was on the fast side at

    +0.24s/f

per furlong making the time base going

    Standard to fast

    .

    AW going allowance table:

    Fast +0.50s/f
    Stand/Fast +0.18s/f to +0.40s/f
    Standard -0.15s/f to +0.15s/f
    Stand/Slow -0.48s/f to -0.18s/f
    Slow -0.70s/f to -0.50s/f

    Last night’s speed figures:

    (No WFA)
    05:50 Bridge That Gap 1m2f 0.24

    43

    06:20 Out Do 6f 0.24

I do think it should be reported that an AW surface has been harrowed during a meeting, and at what depth. There’d be an outcry if somehow they were able to scatter an inch of water over a turf course between races and not report it.
