Please Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!
Anything for a bit of publicity!!
March 22, 2016 at 18:21 #1239412She’s obviously used to being atop a horse but riding in a competitive race is an altogether different kettle of fish.
If she proved adept at mastering the many commands necessary to control a dressage (‘training’) horse then it strikes me that she’s passed the difficult bit and the step-up to race-riding would be comparatively straight forward, given a bit of practice on the gallops
To my eye, being able race-ride adequately doesn’t seem beyond the capabilities of most able-bodied folk, should they put their mind to it, as exemplified by Miss Pendleton’s nice display
Punters are second only to the small folk themselves in regarding professional jockeys as highly skilled supermen: most aren’t, just riders made somewhat more adequate than plucky amateurs due to day in day out practice
If the void were great then surely there wouldn’t be a long history of running amateur races under Rules
Miss Price is certainly not my type and seems rather obnoxious, but as so many on here and elsewhere keep banging on (not a Freudian Slip) about making racing more accessible to ‘yoof’ isn’t she, the rather pleasant Miss Pendleton and any other ‘celebs’ that may join the ‘ave a go bandwagon a jolly good thing?
