When I saw Azure Blue for the first time as a 4 year old at Newmarket I was blown away by how much bigger and stronger she was than as a 3 year old. I missed out on her next time at York cuz I’m an idiot but will not be missing out this time. She reminds me quite a bit like Alpha Centauri, the brilliant Harrington filly.
I’m not dismissing Shaquille’s chances, his incredible Ascot performance has put a dent in the amount of faith I have in Azure Blue but she got into my head early and has stayed there ever since.
July 15, 2023 at 12:21 #1655459After Royal Ascot have to stick with Shaquille.
The more I know the less I understand.
July 15, 2023 at 13:13 #1655467Another dismal Group 1 turnout albeit a good race, field now down to eight.
The more I know the less I understand.
July 15, 2023 at 15:15 #1655500I prefer the smaller but quality field over having 10+ back markers in there causing trouble in running.
July 15, 2023 at 16:26 #1655518Hopefully course form will edge it for Azure Blue and the icing on the cake is the jockey.
Yes, really!
I rang him this morning and told him there was decent money on this one.
Seriously he has been on his game this week a good festival at Ayr and a blinding finish on the big stage recently.July 15, 2023 at 16:33 #1655519Shaquille to give Rossa a group 1 winner
Charles Darwin to conquer the World
July 15, 2023 at 16:36 #1655521Get in!
July 15, 2023 at 16:38 #1655522Unbelievable just like Ascot except Rossa let him tank on whereas Oisin took a pull. What a horse.
The more I know the less I understand.
July 15, 2023 at 16:38 #1655523Wd winners. He’s got some engine pulling that hard and still keep going. The age trends i mentioned in my preview still strong.
July 15, 2023 at 16:39 #1655524That horse has to be something special, having fluffed the start and making that mid-race surge and then still having plenty left in the tank.
It’s by no means a vintage crop of sprinters at the moment, but Shaquille could be special.
July 15, 2023 at 16:40 #1655525.
July 15, 2023 at 16:41 #1655526The way he tanked to the front after the start was pretty impressive.
The more I know the less I understand.
July 15, 2023 at 16:42 #1655527Delighted for Rossa Ryan, well deserved
Charles Darwin to conquer the World
July 15, 2023 at 16:44 #1655528He certainly looks happy

The more I know the less I understand.
July 15, 2023 at 16:48 #1655529Shaquille is a superstar. Does everything wrong yet still makes class opponents look ordinary.
July 15, 2023 at 16:48 #1655530He’s a nutcase of a horse. Messes the start up, tugs his way to the front and still runs away from them. Incredible talent to win like that doing so much wrong.
July 15, 2023 at 16:49 #1655531Absolute machine, a monster performance by Shaquille.
