Competitive renewal, as fierce as I have seen. Oxted is a bull, have long been a fan of this horse and has done well for me, but feel like the Kings Stand form is worth opposing. I don’t think I have ever seen a 5f contest in this country go off so fast through the first 2/3 furlongs, the race feel into Oxted’s lap, that a side still goes with a big chance.
Can’t get to far away from the potential Starman still possesses, interesting to see whether missing Ascot has it’s draw backs with Oxted, Creative Force, Dragon Symbol and Rohaan taking in races before hand.
I am in the Creative Force camp.
July 9, 2021 at 23:19 #1550031Creative Force for me and Rohaan.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 10, 2021 at 10:45 #1550100What a stellar line-up! Looks like a sprint version 2000 Guineas.
My brain is saying Creative Force and Rohaan. Heart is telling me Dragon Symbol and Starman. Gut instinct is Rohaan
July 10, 2021 at 15:47 #1550205I agree Ghost, a really strong looking renewal this. I can’t split them at the top, so I’ve went with Chil Chil 22-1 ew 6pls
July 10, 2021 at 16:01 #1550214Looks a great race
Rohaan would be my pick but I’m not sure about the going
Had to have a pound each way on Brando at 100/1Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026

Oxted winJuly 10, 2021 at 16:28 #1550226Get in Star!
July 10, 2021 at 16:31 #1550227Art Power finally allowed to blitz it from the start and ran a cracker. He’ll win at this level if given a similar chance in future.
July 10, 2021 at 16:36 #1550229Got the reverse forecast … went with my heart in the end.
Cracking race!
July 10, 2021 at 16:53 #1550233Much the best horse
Looked like he got very badly impeded at one point
Look forward to watching it again
July 10, 2021 at 17:49 #1550243Thought that was impressive. Found every bit of trouble going but he flew once he saw daylight.
July 10, 2021 at 22:23 #1550275It was a competitive race, but the bottom line for me is that a horse with an OR of 116 has won by a length and a quarter (worth 4lb tops?) and a short-head from horses rated 116 and 119 with a 114 a neck away fourth.
123 would be the most flattering rating you could give the winner, I would personally say 120 and there is a limit to how excited I can get about that.
Progressive horse, though, 120 isn’t bad for a sprinter and he might get better still.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"July 10, 2021 at 23:02 #1550284I think he’s value for some more there- trouble in running, finished down the middle with no target to aim at. He hit 25.0 in running.
Oxted 120, Ten sov 122, Us navy Flag 119 and Harry Angel 119. I’d be closer to the top rating there myself.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 10, 2021 at 23:46 #1550292Hes potentially very good
The 6f sprint division hasn’t been great since the days of Harry angel and blue point
Good to see some new blood
Hopefully we see Campanelle a few more times, the commonwealth Cup was her first run in a long time so could be plenty more to come
I imagine plenty of these will turn up in deauville in a few weeks
