Apparently the Sussex ‘has not been ruled out’ for Limato. If he can win that after such a convincing speed show as today, then hats off to the horse and his trainer.
July 9, 2016 at 18:44 #1255097Nicely picked out Jac

I managed to follow you in with SUEDOIS, but I never looked like getting close. He (LIMATO)
looks very decent. Well done you
July 9, 2016 at 18:45 #1255098Surprised 5 furlongs hasn’t been mentioned and that he hasn’t got an entry in the Nunthorpe, Limato doesn’t exactly look short of speed.
July 9, 2016 at 19:03 #1255102Never had a bet in the race but Air Force Blue still retains plenty of ability judged on that run. Very eye catching jaunt out today.
No idea what his next target is, but in my notebook in Big Red Capital Letters.
July 9, 2016 at 22:25 #1255121Excellent result! Couldn’t of gone any better! 1st and near enough 2nd nearly hit the forecast! Limato is a machine on good to firm over 6. Hard to get him off the bridle!

What an aftertiming clown. Tips up Quiet reflection before the race and then tries to claim Limato afterwards. Sums this dumbo up.
July 9, 2016 at 22:57 #1255123After timing? I’m pretty sure I said it was a two horse race, I ruled everything out bar these two. I said quiet reflection was the safest bet. Was she the safest bet? 100% she was the safest. Limato on good to firm 6furlong is just a machine he floats on the ground. I am just pretty phenomenal at working races out, you have to have the eye it’s a gift though not many people have it. What you back judge? Bet you backed something I told you can’t win it
July 9, 2016 at 23:13 #1255124Twilight Son – Cant win from that draw its an impossible task
Magical Memory and Profitable – Definitely wont see the trip out 100%
Limato – Will be on the snag for a long time, not sure he will 100% get home but he has a big chance. Again another bad draw in stall 16, in a sprint you cant be drawn in the furthest stalls, e.g. stall 1/2 or 15/16
Quiet Reflection – Likely to get a good toe in, softer ground would of been better but I think she will be fine. The filly also gets a huge 9lbs dont forget, will she be strong enough in the finish?Quiet reflection is the best bet and safest at 7/1
Couldn’t of been any more spot on if I tried! Just dismissed everything…on the snag for a long time? Was heeeeee
July 9, 2016 at 23:23 #1255126I’ll take my advice from Joe’s line here. Jog on.
July 9, 2016 at 23:49 #1255180You could have been more spot on Goreiaking, your selection only finished third.
July 9, 2016 at 23:53 #1255181What do you contribute to this forum? You contribute absolutely nothing and I know why…you don’t actually know anything about racing do you? I suggest you take a new hobby up like fishing or boiling eggs because your no good here. You should be appreciating all the free tips! You make yourself look like an idiot when you slag people off who are stating facts and giving winners day in day out
Make sure the yolk is runny…top man
July 9, 2016 at 23:57 #1255213Thanks Joe and Big G what a great race Limato ran never dreamed he would pull away like that. He’s always been a horse that needed the Good/Firm ground unlike his stable companion Twilight Son who wouldn’t have won wherever he had been drawn, but back on Good to Soft perhaps later in the year he will win again, both looked fantastic in the paddock.
Suidois was a great call Graham
Quiet Reflection ran a cracker in third…against the colts she stands tall.Just thought I’d let LIMATO have the last word as he paraded in the paddock this afternoon with a special message for Steve for all the times he’s let him down…
You have to forgive him now Steve

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 9, 2016 at 23:57 #1255218Was a masterful piece wasn’t it though. Nearly got the forecast, most of the time racing is about working out how the race is run and like I said twilight son couldn’t possibly win from that draw. Okay he didn’t go well on the ground either but the far side was where the race was. Surprised that candy didn’t learn from York!
July 10, 2016 at 00:21 #1255242The draw at Newmarket rarely makes a difference to the result of a race, its the uphill finish that usually sees them off. I think Henry Candy knew full well that Twilight Son wouldn’t go on the ground he just left him in to add a little confusion in the betting ring.
The Bunbury Cup, which followed the July Cup saw Golden Steps (drawn 1) win from Heaven’s Guest (drawn 14)

He ran well enough in the Lockinge to suggest he might get the trip although when it came to the crunch he showed not a lot at the business end. He’d want rattling fast ground but even then I don’t think it would be his ideal distance and he looks 7f max unless they go slow and he settles but not much chance of it being a slow pace if O’Brien runs The Gurkha he’ll probably stick in a pacemaker to ensure a decent clip.
Depending on the line up I’d make him a place lay.
Great horse though at 6f well done Jac and the others backing him. I had Quiet Reflection Ante Post and was delighted with her run on that ground.Charles Darwin to conquer the World

Solely to expose aftertimers like you.

She’s a tough little cookie holding her own against the big boys in the July Cup and when you look at what she has beaten, and only 3 years old, she’s a real star,Well done on your 3rd Place Quiet Reflection
Here she is in the paddock before the race:-

Yes but draw does come into account when there is a pace bias like this race. The pace was stall 11 onwards
