The booby claims it’s the stress from being sacked by Channel 4.

I’m off to Ladbrokes to collect I knew that joke was coming within the hour of creating the thread.

Note the gratuitous use of the word "stable"…
March 12, 2013 at 21:52 #432333Just imagine if you are a nurse on duty tonight you are either going to be sworn at, abused or shouted at or you are going to be leered at by Big Mac.

Apparently he phoned the booby to say he was unwell and when she arrived he was walking towards her but had to be attended to in the parade ring by paramedics after taking a turn for the worse but it appears not to be serious and he is demanding to go back to Cheltenham tomorrow.
March 12, 2013 at 22:49 #432346The bloody ambulance almost reversed into me as I was trying to take a picture of Quevega after her win
March 13, 2013 at 01:00 #432373Trust The Booby to ham it up and claim that Big Mac’s funny turn at Cheltenham was something to do with Channel 4 dispensing with his services.
It won’t be anything to do with that. More likely to be connected with his age, weight and other health problems.
If he was that stressed, he would have been too unwell to go to such a busy and notoriously packed, heaving and stressful meeting anyway.
Far better to have watched it in the comfort of his own home, lying on the bed in his over-sized white underpants, with a bottle of champagne, if he was that fragile.
He wasn’t on Channel 4 often enough in recent years for him possibly to be suffering stress. It will all be grist to the mill for his legal action, as has been pointed out.
How anyone at 72 can still expect to be employed at all, let alone in a notoriously youth and looks-obsessed industry, is beyond me.
He should be grateful to have had such a long innings in such a fickle business as television.
When good people like Mike Cattermole have been dropped by Channel 4, how can ageing eccentrics like him be surprised when a new broom sweeps him out too?
March 13, 2013 at 10:59 #432420Was he working for someone? Seems a bit odd for him to go racing if he wasn’t getting paid and why is he desperate to go today?
March 13, 2013 at 11:24 #432428Ah, stress.
It’s the new backache.
Mike
March 13, 2013 at 16:52 #432498Very dubious and tacky of McCririck’s wife to appear to apportion blame seemingly before anyone even knows what’s wrong with McCririck………both seemingly equal in their lack of dignity.
The action against C4 is an embarrassment.

Despite what people think of him he loves his racing so even if he isn’t getting paid I wouldn’t think he would want to miss it.

I doubt it GA,
Ageism is wrong full stop…
But if an employee of any age is unfit to do the job his employers want him to – then he can not expect to keep it. Hands and head have been shaking uncontrolably for many years. Morbidly obese and a heavy smoker. Can he really be expected to stand out in all weathers to do his job?Value Is Everything - AuthorPosts
