Through no fault of his own, Envoi has only beaten (well, thrashed) handicappers over fences so far. So today is the day of reckoning.

Today is the day where we see if envoi is hype or fact , it’s a stonker of a race , prob better than many we,ll see at Cheltenham , I’m hoping envoi wins but it’s plenty short enough , fakir like envoi has the edge in fitness but I think he,s just below top class , Allaho as many had said will prob come on for the run , many of willies will come on for the run , at the prices I’ve played kemboy and melon , melon is huge for a talented horse , now prob best caught fresh he may well outrun the huge odds , as Jack said kemboy may well be running in prep for Christmas but I can’t help but think he,ll not be at Cheltenham this season so they may well go straight from the off with him

Failing to jump a fence is partly his own fault GAG…

Today is the day we find out, could easily beat these crowd on the bridle, could easily jump erratically. Can’t wait!

Fakir D’oudairies and Envoi Allen to fight out the finish.
Bryony to ride into a place with her only runner.

HDLG, think he had a hard race there, be shocked if he’s near a KG.

Asterion Forlonge would look the likeliest for me.

Was going easy there before being the rogue he is and throwing a bad one in.

Obviously had 3 or 4 left to jump but he looked to be going best.

“What a test it turned into”…um no, Patrick crawled along and stacked them up cos he didn’t want anything to have a hard race, and Asterion Forlonge still found a jump to fall over when he looked like winning even though several were taken out.

Well done ham, Allaho still good enough to win even though probably not fit, but watching him consistently jumping left the King George is the last place he needs to be going. As for 2 miles, forget it.

Well done Bobby assuming you had an ew on Janidil.

V disappointed with Fakir d’Oudaries considering he was positioned well. Just missed out on my ew money as Tornado Flyer too far back to get into it.

Agree grass, not a chance allaho is going KG and not a chance hes going back to 2m

As ive previously said last season im a big fan of asterion forlonge but id given up a bit on him due to his inabillity to get it altogether, cost me a few quid, He would have won had he stood up, allaho was fortunate, but hes the best horse in the race.

The bet in the race for me was laying envoi, i was heavily invested in that i havent been as sure in a while that a horse would get beaten easily and i seen rachael drop her hands and niggle 5/6 out i knew he was done for, what to do with him mike? Send him back to elliott, hasnt been the same since he left, as good a trainer as henry is.

2 and a half miles is clearly Allaho’s best trip. Kinloch Brae, Ryanair then the Melling Chase and avoid inadequate trips in between.

He ran a horror, but didn’t probably have to be all-out at the finish like today!?

ANyway, Willie Mullin’s is worried about the hard race: Hope for your sake he goes but i’d be odds on him not being in England

Would be mad going for the King George after such a hard race.

Yeah i get that HDLG but id take a guess and say your more likely to see envoi go there than allaho, hes not going to bottom him by rushing him to recover and travel in 3 weeks time

But im just throwing my opinion out there i might be wrong but ill be surprised, either way, good luck :good:

“Send him back to elliott, hasnt been the same since he left, as good a trainer as henry is.”

I am not sure that would make any difference. The horse was acclaimed as a superstar before he had ever won a race outside of novice company. Whisper it quietly – but maybe he is not that good?

Injuries to horses can be a bit of a lottery. Sometimes they come back the same sometimes not. I dont buy into a theory that Envoi was no good etc before his injury.
