Here’s a toe site, "feel" free to cast some votes!
Camel Toe :coolwink:
May 22, 2007 at 09:16 #104785It’s amazing Jim can still type ~ his eyesight must have gone ages ago!
May 22, 2007 at 12:30 #104786Only if you get it in your eyes…
May 22, 2007 at 20:51 #104787That’s quite a surprise coming from you Kevin .. a pleasant one though ..

May 23, 2007 at 18:19 #104789rory, I don’t type with my eyes, I type with my fingers
Sailing shoes makes a good point :cheesy:
the two Jilly’s have gone quiet now don’t you think? ;)
May 23, 2007 at 23:27 #104790
:old:
I would normally look into
who King Kong is
but I don’t do monkies
May 24, 2007 at 19:06 #104791
:old:
Curiosity finally got the better of me
and I have had a look at the monkey
for a second time.
It looks that the furry one with the fringe on top
has been put to sleep
or blasted into cyber oblivion.
If your cryptic clue JK
"someone taking a gamble "
is a reference to me as Kong
you are barking up the wrong
empire state.
I have been a supporter of Jilly
in the main on this forum
I say in the main as I never get
close to anyone as, I like freedom to lash out.
I would never interfere in a fair fight
other than to ramp it up.
Creating a monkey has never been on my agenda.
I have been scribing for possibly five years now
and am now in my dotage.
The only identity I have ever created was
flatcap who lives and breathes in
another talking house but is for now in peaceful slumber.
Gamble’s untimely death and irrepressible soul
seemed to force the existence of a new character
in a switching of mental ID.
I write possibly as a dead man,
I am not sure if it is I or flatcap
at the keys. Flatcap beleives he is himself
but somehow I have entered his frontal lobe.
I was dishonest only the once in the clone wars
back in the days of the flutter boards.
At the conclusion of the war
I suggested that I was the evil one.
Of course history now knows
it was the devil David Marshall
I have lead many enquiries into suspicious clones over the years.
The saltyjack affair finally finished me off
It remains painfully unsolved
and it forced retirement on me.
Cloning is far too complex these days
as the number who use these boards
has proliferated to an impossible extent.
My detective days are over
and my pipe lies unused in the rack.
To explain the trilogy
flatcapgamble is my dog who
was born a wandering star
in another house.
He used to take me to the edge of reason
but these days is more pipe and slippers
flatcapgamble… saucer of milk
flatcap…
I have never made an entrance here
but I am the one at the keys and I exist
with a living liability,
gamble right inside me head.

Since writing the above post
I have had the strongest desire
to climb into a one piece monkey suit
May 27, 2007 at 19:04 #104793Do you think more people post now gamble or less ?
It seems to me that posting on forums is a passing phase and there doesn’t seem to be more or less, just different characters passing through.
May 28, 2007 at 20:56 #104794:old:
Tend to agree with you Dave but
if Sundancekid is still chucking out his daily diet
on the blue boards then no, it is probably not a
passing phase, if he can be used as a sensible barometer of usage.
Interactive writing is certainly more compelling
in the early stages and like the love of a woman (seven years) board writing’s novelty does wear thinner after a time (3-4 years).
Horseracing boards will always have a limited appeal
as the sport has never been huge and has dwindled
more of late.
There possibly is a sell by date factor, even more so on the non-racing
writings, as topics tend to be repeated.
I write a lot less.
The addiction is almost cured -
but I am not the most normal contributor -
so maybe I am not the best judge
Competition from blogs
mobile phones
and the excitement of the picture tube
have also inroaded on usage

I cut down the length of my reply
not wanting Haigh to get jealous
May 29, 2007 at 08:53 #104796I think your right g .. the forum’s do have more competition now and the time span of appeal is spot on imo.
I have often thought about starting my own blog .. but I know it’s just a thought, I wouldn’t have the energy to keep it going.
