Another thing about Ascot: does anyone else think the path from the station to the track seems to get steeper every time you walk up it? Or maybe it is just a sign of getting older…
June 23, 2022 at 20:08 #1603733I’m going to sound smug but was thinking last time how it easy it is these days. Lots of cycling cork.
I was reading a cycling book about Belgium and every year an eighty odd old guy cycles up this steep cobbled road to cheers at a festival that even fanatics in their 30# struggle with. He doesn’t even leave the saddle
Hope for us all
June 23, 2022 at 20:42 #1603740I heard Frankie is going to join forces with Jermaine Jenas
Racecourses around the country are expanding capacity 10 fold with this great innovationGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
June 23, 2022 at 20:46 #1603741Ha, they breed them differently in Flanders….I’m guessing it was either the Koppenberg, Oude Kwaremont or the Paterberg.
June 24, 2022 at 10:55 #1603790How does Jermaine attract a younger audience? He presents The One Show ffs no one young watches that.
June 24, 2022 at 10:56 #1603791It’s like they picked the whitest black guy they could find ffs
June 24, 2022 at 11:35 #1603794What they were probably thinking Ben; is Jermaine is good with a younger audience (MOTDX) while still good with an older audience (One Show).
Value Is EverythingJune 24, 2022 at 12:11 #1603796Swap the word “good” for average at best
awful with football(just my opinion). I don’t watch the one show
any young person who watches him on any football station will run a mile from him
Michael Owen has a fair bit of interest with horse racing and a much higher calibre of football player than Jenas. Young football fans don’t care though because they are interested in FOOTBALL
This will attract nobody

June 24, 2022 at 12:42 #1603799Realise you are Liverpool through and through but…
Michael Owen is too old for this advert, Nathan.
Does not matter what the average football fan thinks.
And it does not matter what you or I or any individual thinks about Jermaine.
What matters is what the general population thinks.Value Is EverythingJune 24, 2022 at 13:08 #1603802I have little interest in what Jermaine Jenas has to say. Doesn’t bring much to the table as far as football punditry goes imo, so not sure what he can bring to the table here.
June 24, 2022 at 13:17 #1603803That’s my point ginge
I believe nobody will be interested via this avenueGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
June 24, 2022 at 13:20 #1603804What in particular is wrong with the advert?
Value Is EverythingJune 24, 2022 at 13:49 #1603806“There’s always great food”
Massive lie
Little boy Playing football around the paddock
I’m sure that will go down well in real life when the ball hits a horse
or the boy gets told not to play and says he saw it in the advert or ball doesn’t get past the entrance gatesGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026

There is if you like greasy, undercooked burgers and want to get food poisoning.

June 24, 2022 at 14:05 #1603810By the way ginge.. I wasn’t saying use Owen he’s more boring than Jenas
I bought his name into it because unless you are into racing I doubt many Liverpool supporters would know his involvement in the game and even if they did it wouldn’t make them any more interested in horse racing, they would forget the fact within secondsGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
June 24, 2022 at 15:47 #1603821Watched the video and agree completely with Nathan’s comments.
It is some nerve to start by telling everyone there is great food. Whoever made the advert has not been to Worcester or Wolverhampton recently.
Who wants to see kids playing football by the paddock? An absolutely ridiculous idea.
And who was the jockey? She is not exactly high profile, whoever she is.
