Would have put up Archduke Ferdinand for this but in the paddock he was on the tubby side and ran accordingly…

Did however find the winner who was fighting fit as you can see. Just one of the benefits of being there which unfortunately is something we can’t do all the time..

Here he is a very handsome boy and a popular winner.

Lovely pic, Jac. The winner did it nicely.

Interesting to hear about AF. I backed him and could have cashed out if I’d known he was carrying a bit of timber.

Someone asked me at Plumpton last winter if I ever get anything useful from looking at horses in the parade ring. Yes, things like that!

Thanks Broadsword it’s one of my favs I managed to get the right position as the ‘horses away’ was announced. :good:

100% about being there, the pre parade at Newmarket is so pretty under the trees and there is a spot where the light shines through and picks out all the detail on their coats.

Shame about AF I Napped him in the 3 horses comp before I saw him just not the force of old, same with Silver Samurai his coat looked a bit dull and Binhareer is one for the notebook, big leggy gelding who will definitely progress but on softer ground. :good: Jac

Glad you won after seeing him in the paddock Triptych, seeing these horses before the race does open ones eyes, especially two year olds.
I did nap him for the select 3 Saturday, as at the 6 day entry stage, he had two. One in the sprint at Newbury 2nd race and this race both with Rob Hornby booked. At the four day entry stage Young Nichols was booked for this race and I thought, improver from his run at Chepstow plus 7lb claim equals good chance. So when I put up my select three Thursday, he was my best shot.
BTW, my work college has a share in him, but doesn’t know the difference between a dirty scope and an oscilloscope.
Hes a decent horse that had a problem and they have taken their time with him.

That’s really interesting and he’s turned out just fine hasn’t he Landafar? What a finish to beat Binhareer going up that unforgiving hill.
I did see you had Napped him and so glad he came home for you and your work colleague. :good: Jac
