St Nicholas AbbeyI think he has had 6 crops or so….so that a 50% strike rate in the Derby and 33% cornation. That is a remarkable statistic

Would be intersting if someone done some research into this but I wouldn’t narrow it as far to say he’s an Epsom specialist.
I think his progeny do well on tracks that keep the horses mind focused on the job i.e tight, sharp, fast tracks.
Look at how well Berling run yesterday too! Harris Tweed loves Chester, Class is Class enjoys the Goodwood straight, St Nicholas Abbey relished Chester, Scorpion enjoyed the downs too

You will struggle to find any sire in the world that has a 50% strike rate at a particular course over the same distance with Colts. His son Hurricane Run had a 4th with Menephis Tennesse to boot
June 5, 2011 at 18:18 #359111Mybe Montjeus are so quirky that they don’t notice the uneven surface at Epsom!
June 5, 2011 at 18:26 #359113They are not quirky…they have character
