the suprise might not be happening now, so i’ll keep my mouth shut! it is true what ap said, it is also true that he has the option to ride about 4/5 other horses including take the stand, but wants to ride IG. personally i would like to see barry back up and believe it or not he want’s the ride too. i bet that lad hasn’t had many offers has he??
February 22, 2006 at 09:19 #95708With thanks to bluechariot who pointed it out on the thread re "todays racing pages", today’s timesonline has an article about the whole IG & GC issue. And TRF gets a mention to boot.
February 22, 2006 at 09:36 #95709I am staggered that Ms Hislop has raised the issue of th horse being pulled by the authorities. If they looked at how Beef or Salmon jumped last year they’d realise that Iris’s is by no means the worst jumper in there!
The worst problem with that run at Warwick was that it was as if he couldn’t be bothered to get his landing gear down. To my untrained eye that simply looked like IG thinkin "I can’t be bothered". That to me is far more worrying than his sometimes clumsy way of walking through the odd fence.
I can’t believe Ms Hislop didn’t credit Slooch Arm for starting the poll! (despite those who whinged about it!)
February 22, 2006 at 12:40 #95710Go TRF!!! Only 52% said he wouldn’t complete??? Rob Lester’s daughter must have made a LOT of new accounts to vote with.
February 23, 2006 at 10:10 #95711Jackane dont be such a jack-ass towards someone who is closer the action yhan you ever will be.
February 23, 2006 at 11:58 #95712Would you not have been better running him in the Tingle Creek at Sandown where the "Pond" fence is bound to suit or wait for the Betfair "Bowl" at Aintree. But if you insist on Cheltenham, I would recommend the "Coral" Cup
