Now that we’ve had a chance to digest the result, how do we assess
the 3-y-o fillies? At 1m Immortal Verse or Misty for Me
At 1m 2f Golden Lilac or Misty for Me
At Im 4f Blue Bunting or ?Perhaps Misty would find 1m a bit sharp now while Golden Lilac
could drop back in trip if she fails to reach the pantheon in
the Prix Vermeille.
Any one of four or five might end up top rated at 1m 4f but
could they match Crystal Capella?July 19, 2011 at 11:58 #365169It remains to be seen just how flattered Immortal Verse is by being dropped out off an overly strong pace in the Coronation Stakes.
Remains to be seen how flattered Misty For Me is for her front running off a slow pace against Midday.
Remains to be seen how much Crystal Capella was flattered by beating horses on their reappearance or not acting on the ground.
Suspect they are all very good, but not quite as good as they look in the viewing.
Blue Bunting is the best of a below parr bunch of 12 furlong three year old fillies.
Will Snow Fairy ever come back to her best after injury?
Golden Lilac may prove best of the three year old fillies.
I suspect despite her poor showing in Ireland, Midday is best of all of them.
Value Is EverythingJuly 19, 2011 at 14:15 #365172Galikova over 12f I think would be better than any of the English or Irish fillies who seem to be all in a heap.
She reopposes Golden Lilac who beat her in the Diane in the Prix de la Nonette next month again at 10f. Expect Lilac to beat her again there, but positions I think will be reversed in the Vermeille over 12f. Galikova to win the Vermeille (I think Sarafina might go to the Foy instead against the colts – and suspect Gal will beat Midday here).

could they match Crystal Capella?
Is ‘Crystal Capella’ the benchmark?
She’s twice been beaten by Aga fillies and I’d hope that he had one better than those… who was not even mentioned… until late on here!

This should tell you all you need to know!

I suspect despite her poor showing in Ireland, Midday is best of all of them.
I thought that she had been written off now?!
Could judging ‘St Nic’ by her poor effort last time and his bad reaction to Epsom be dodgy?
After all ‘Makfi’ flopped twice at Ascot & she’s done the same now – only at the Curra – the difference is there won’t be any 8/1 about ‘Midday’ – anytime soon!!
