One Big Bang 16/1 e/w 5 places 1/5 odds
Very solid race at Cheltenham, third behind two progressive performers over 3m 6f in the race that yielded the winner of this last year..
April 6, 2026 at 14:24 #1762195I see the RP have quoted some punter
”I got a chocolate egg and £5 in a card yesterday from my mum. I’m 45!
I decided that the only sensible thing to do was put £2.50 each-way double on flicker of hope in the Irish National today with Twig in the Aintree version. Thankfully, he looks like he’s got in now.”
Up thread we have..
Tizard’s Cider, I’ve gone for an each way double of Flicker of Hope in this with Twig next week at Aintree.I wonder..
Anyway, One Big Bang, O’Toole and Brighter Days Ahead all e/w for me.
April 6, 2026 at 15:40 #1762200I’ve went with three, all to win
Search for glory 25-1
Otoole 40-1
Born Braver 25-1April 6, 2026 at 15:44 #1762201I’ve added Shanbally Kid ( distance, Spring ground, right handed track ) as a strong contender for the extra place markets
April 6, 2026 at 16:46 #1762203Shanbally Kid one of the few remaining Presentings running I assume and they have a good record in the race so it’s a sentimental bet for me. Born Braver is my main bet, though.
April 6, 2026 at 17:02 #1762205He’s been mentioned a couple of times on here, but I
can’t have him going off at 25/1. I’ve been gabbing and they are off already
Good luckApril 6, 2026 at 17:03 #1762207Search for Glory that would be

April 6, 2026 at 17:20 #1762214Cheers Wilts was never in doubt a long way out

The more I know the less I understand.
April 6, 2026 at 17:21 #1762215What an exciting start all galloping in and he let them go in the UK I guarantee that would have been a non goer.
The more I know the less I understand.
April 6, 2026 at 17:25 #1762216What was the dead horse “hidden” by the screens?
April 7, 2026 at 07:16 #1762256Rushmount sadly passed Ruby. Racing Post race commments refer to him going wrong but I had to do some digging as I didn’t see it mentioned anywhere that a horse had in fact died which I thought was very poor. Timeform reference it in their race comments but you have to dig deep to find it. RIP and commiserations to connections.
April 7, 2026 at 07:57 #1762258Thanks TTM, I had noticed that yesterday some hours after the race. Irish TV presenters never talk about the negatives of a race.
The winner was quite good though, but I don’t think they’ll go for next years’ GC with him.
