Just doing my 10 to follow, need an Irish Hurdler alternative to Hurricane Fly and Solwhit.
Anyone got any ideas?Don’t like Go Native (bit of a dog).
What about Ebaziyan? Is he injured? The 94/1 for the Champion puts me off. Strangely not quoted / entered (?) In the Stayers Hurdle.
Thanks in advance.

November 11, 2009 at 16:46 #258236Why not Sublimity?
Will probably run in the FF, the Xmas Hurdle@Kempton or Fairyhouse, the AIG, the Champion and then the Punchestown race.
Had a wind operation since his last run and could do well.
November 11, 2009 at 16:58 #258240Voler La Vedette, she is a superstar
November 11, 2009 at 18:17 #258251Aitmatov looked back to his best with the blinkers on at the weekend. He’ll take stopping in the 2m4+ races (they should be soft enough contests this year with Brave Inca retired, and Catch Me and Whatuthink gone chasing).
November 11, 2009 at 22:31 #258292Thanks for all of your help.
Voler La Vadette would have been my choice THM, but alas she is not in the competition. She might be good enough for the Mare’s race at Cheltenham. Also took Quevega out as heard she is not racing very often this term.
Jumbo Rio is possible Grass, but he’s had plenty of chances. Consistent but looks a bit exposed. Can’t see him good enough to trouble Solwhit or Hurricane.
Have always been against Sublimity NHF, sometimes to my cost. Don’t really think he’s good enough these days. Nor do the bookies judging from his price for the Morgiana.
Am really looking for something to win the Irish Champion (bonus race). Don’t think Aitmotov will be fast enough IC.
If I don’t take Ebaziyan suppose the only other possibility is Muirhead. But he’s a typical Noel Meade horse. Travels well but sometimes finds little.
Might have to put Solwhit in again.
Thanks again
Value Is EverythingNovember 12, 2009 at 13:58 #258345Sublimity is a big price for the race in Ireland because he goes to Newcastle. Thats the only reason I think.
Solwhit would be the better choice anyway.
November 12, 2009 at 14:56 #258358Not an Irish horse but Mr Thriller is Ladbrokes fav for the Hattons Grace at the moment – likely to get his ground over there too so might well be campaigned over there in the top races.

As far as the Irish Hurdlers are concerned:
Have put Hurricane Fly in 7 lists, Solwhit 6, Muirhead 1 and Mr Thriller 2.
IS,
Was trying to fit in Mr Thriller in the GB section of hurdlers. Did not realise he was (possibly) going to Ireland until you said about it. So IF any of those two lists win anything, will give you a little pressie. Thanks IS, and all who submitted their thoughts. (emotion for thumbs up)
