Obviously the big two quite rightly dominating the market for this, but I’ll try another
The pair I’ve been looking at all week are Embassy Gardens and Inothewayurthinkin
I’ll leave Embassy Gardens, as he’s drifting tonight, and I’ve bet him for Cheltenham anyway. Huge fan of Inothewayurthinkin, and he was more difficult to leave at 20’s
The one I have bet though is Conflated. I realise it’s a big ask to make the frame here, certainly with him getting on, but close up in this last year, and I just feel that this is the race that we’ll see him at his best all season
Edit – Topped up

January 30, 2025 at 22:07 #1719195Although this is Ireland’s premier chase, it’s a strange race.
You’ve got:
One of the best chasers in recent years – Galopin Des.
But who else is going to try their utmost to win or in most cases even try to finish close to the fav?Fact To File will be on a mission to prove he can settle well enough to go the extra distance of the Cheltenham Gold Cup. So is highly likely to have different tactics employed than he’s used to. Probably be hidden in behind horses and played only very very late. Will that be to the detriment of actually winning this?

Monty’s Star has been second to Fact To File at Cheltenham and Spillanes Tower at Punchestown. Still could improve himself, but was getting weight from Embassy Gardens last / first time out and still lost. Needed it, but has to come on a lot for that run and Henry De Bromhead is in awful form!
That was Embassy Gardens’ first run too, but he’s often good fresh – so not sure he’ll improve at all here. Got an easy lead too… And you’d think Galopin Des / Townend will want to press on from some way out. Is unlikely to do himself justice if getting into a battle so soon… And his two poor runs last season were when held up. Racing prominently is probably important to him, so a change of tactics might not work either.
Grangecare West has had an injury and hasn’t been in the same form since winning a Grade 1 novice in 2023.
Inothewayurthinkin seemed to be given an easy time last time out. The trainer says he won’t run in the National (went right out to 80something before shortening again of late). Suspicion is he’ll either be going to Aintree or Fairyhouse. JP won’t want him to get too close to Galopin Des before the weights come out!… Something that applies to all the other runners too.
Almost broke the habit of a lifetime and backed the fav at 4/6. But think I’ll stay out.
Value Is EverythingJanuary 31, 2025 at 23:54 #1719302HDB’s last three runners have all run well to be second. So there is now some hope for Monty’s.
Value Is EverythingFebruary 1, 2025 at 07:58 #1719310Sky Bet are offering evens Galopin; max stake “varies” apparently, but I could only get a tenner on.
February 1, 2025 at 08:11 #1719311Galopin Des Champs for me.
February 1, 2025 at 10:35 #1719336Inothewayurthinkin is the e.w play , ground more to his liking this time and yard is flying , understand the view on his possible aims but he might get be better than a handicapper given his ground , should be a good watch and can’t wait to see how Walsh rides F2F
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
February 1, 2025 at 11:38 #1719361Just gonna enjoy the champion.
February 1, 2025 at 12:45 #1719386365 going evens the FAV also as a super boost
February 1, 2025 at 15:31 #1719442I’d call myself a few names if Hewick won, so even with ground against him……
Inothewayurthinkin and Embassy Gardens of big interest later in season

February 1, 2025 at 15:38 #1719448An absolute legend.
Galopin, that is, not Mike.
February 1, 2025 at 15:39 #1719449Must be the best since Arkle…… please correct me any time….
February 1, 2025 at 15:40 #1719450No, he isn’t the best since Arkle, Ruby.
The number of races won does not equal quality. He’s in the top five or so staying chasers, though.
February 1, 2025 at 15:41 #1719451Different class.
Stays fit and he wins at Cheltenham. And, next in the chair is Wilts, specialist subject… The Bleedin’ Obvious
February 1, 2025 at 15:44 #1719452Easy , he’s not Arkle , he’s not even Kauto or Denman , he’s a excellent horse and will likely win the GC but he,s also been beaten plenty times , massive run by GW and while I didn’t pick up with the Cromwell horse he was given a very kind ride and looks a bet if he does indeed go to Aintree , I am Maximus jumped like he hadn’t seen a fence before
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
February 1, 2025 at 15:44 #1719453Won with his mouth open again.
Some horse.
Ruby Walsh reckons he’s the best in Ireland since Arkle anyhow.
Delighted with Grangeclare West who jumped very well

He’s better than Denman, and I was a Denman fan.
