Well done Latrobe backers, he’s an impsoing fellow alright. Id be lying if i said i wasnt a bit sick with Rostropovich mind – i thought he was coming back to win it! Saxon Warrior looks like he should’ve been running at Sandown.

100% running 10f next time imo
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
June 30, 2018 at 17:34 #1359072Well done to all who backed the winner
i’m very happy with my bet
All comers, all ground, all beaten
June 30, 2018 at 17:35 #1359073Methinks AOB may have had his hand forced by the lads there!!
IMO the horse is at best a ten furlong horse.
June 30, 2018 at 17:41 #1359074Gives Camelot his first Classic winner from his first crop. Price will be going up now
June 30, 2018 at 18:03 #1359079Well done Darren and Raymo.
Well done Botchy too, for putting him up @ 33/1 on his DLAP thread.
I had the winner aswell @ 22/1, but two others would’ve been better results for me; so kudos to you guys.
Value Is EverythingJune 30, 2018 at 18:24 #1359089It looks like a host of winners on here at big odds, unfortunately I’m not
one of them. Well done to Darren, Ginger, Raymo and Botchy, that’s a very
nice bit of business gents
July 1, 2018 at 00:20 #1359117Great tipping Raymo, Darren, Botchy and Ginge, fantastic to see Camelot get his first Classic win.

Exciting run from the Frankel fort and Rostropovich, well done Chaos with the place..
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 1, 2018 at 04:25 #1359121Saxon warrior obviously taking after his mum, maybe who didn’t stay 12f. Looked all over the winner two furlongs out. I wonder what odds he runs in and hacks up in the mile on champions day. I’d be sorely tempted as he looks the top miler. As for Joseph and latrobe just amazing. To win a melbourne cup and an Irish Derby in your first couple of seasons is sensational. At least aiden can retire knowing young Joseph is good enough to run ballydoyle. So delighted for camelot. One of the most gorgeous looking horses there has ever been. Look like coolmore have the middle distance sire they have been after. Plus of course carrying on the great montjeu line.
July 2, 2018 at 02:07 #1359242Encouraging yes, but too early to judge Camelot on one Classic success, Mickey. Especially as this wasn’t a good Irish Derby. Distance between Rostropovich and Delano Roosevelt just a neck further apart than at Ascot. May be the pair improved a little, but not much. Saxon Warrior didn’t appear to lack for stamina to me – similar performance to Epsom and had the race run to suit this time. First three prominent throughout in a race not run at anything like a strong gallop. What three of the best jockeys around – SDS, Frankie and Buick – were doing allowing team O’Brien to dictate matters, baffles me. They were on three stayers at the trip and all failed at their jobs. I wouldn’t be taking a short price on Saxon Warrior bouncing back even if returned to 10f or a mile. Action imo points to the possibility of doing better with a bit of give underfoot.
Considering the amount of expensive, beautifully bred middle-distance colts that go through their hands – so far this year Coolmore are struggling to find one of real top class.
