This has to be one of the best novice chases ever run outside of the spring festivals

Race of the weekend by a distance imo

Appreciate it vs dysart vs el fabiolo vs banbridge

This is the actual arkle minus jonbon

Torn between Banbridge and Saint Roi

Considering leaving Banbridge as I’ve already bet him for Arkle/Turners, so could afford to leave him here. He’s one of my big horses for this season though, and no sure I’d be too happy if he did it at 7’s.

Definitely betting Saint Roi around 12’s. Has to step up from his win here at Christmas, and I think there’s a chance he’ll have improved again.

    Swaying towards betting both

    Banbridge
    Saint Roi

Like VTC, I have backed Banbridge for the Arkle and Turners but I will probably not back him tomorrow.

Ruby Walsh gave Saint Roi a good mention on the Road to Cheltenham show last night. He reckoned Appreciate It and Dysart Dynamo might set it up for something held up off the pace.

El Fabiolo for me. I like his form tied in with Jonbon at Aintree, where he was still unexperienced.

    El Fabiolo 5/1

I’ll be a bit surprised if Banbridge wins against the Mullins’ battalions. At least one of them ought to be better shouldn’t they?

Good horse especially after really belting the 4th last – unfinished business with Jonbon perhaps?

He won’t get away doing that against Jonbon , if I was talking my a horse out of the race it would be Banbridge , I don’t see any of them beating Jonbon though

Excellent race run at a proper gallop

El fabiolo must have a huge engine as he was super keen at the start, then belted a few fences

Banbridge and Appreciate It have to go turner’s now

Couldn’t have gone much better for my ante post positions
