I tried to place a bet by phone today with betfair. The guy on the other end of the phone misunderstood me and placed a bet on my behalf of £150 at odds of 20 insteads of £20 at odds of 150.
I spoke to customer services and they had creditted my account within 50 minutes of the intial erroniuos bet being placed.
Given the issues that I and others have had with other bookmakers I though it would be good to highlight a bookmaker (or an exchange) behaving properly by looking after their customers.
(ps. whilst irrelevant the horse was Eddystone in the 12.30 @ Linfield)
