If he doesn’t win at Aintree, it really will have been a wasted season over hurdles for a horse that looked like he would take high rank in novice chases.
February 6, 2024 at 16:23 #1680147Can’t say I am surprised with that decision – if he does go to Aintree at least he will be a fresh horse, especially if he comes up against any horses that are coming from the Festival.
February 6, 2024 at 16:39 #1680155He’s picked up € 90k in three Grade 1s without threatening to win, though he went close at Fairyhouse. His dam has apparently produced just one sole runner, maybe he didn’t take to fences yet.
February 7, 2024 at 12:28 #1680233The sire is also a strange one as, aside from L’Homme Presse, nothing else has really progressed past novice company. Grand Sancy won two 3 runner novice chases and that’s it.
