I like the way Hugh actually goes through races and explains what and why he sees things in horses, it is definitely beneficial to new race goers who are building their knowledge finding their edge and maybe some us more experienced folk can just accept that he does a better job than most presenters who probably recite 60% of phrase’s and explanations of a horses chance day in and day out which gets pretty boring.
How many people that "look outside the box" are succesfull? very few but a lucrative form of income if you can master it which why Hugh is on his way to becoming one of the best judges in the sport now its just about longevity and consistancy.

October 4, 2009 at 11:40 #251631So just to clarify, Hon Kerr thinks it is all wrong for people to post on an internet forum praising the results of a tipster, but perfectly OK for him to use the same method to announce his own success in freeing the world from the menace of Koo.

October 4, 2009 at 12:34 #251649In the immortal words of Phil Bull" Geese that lay Golden Eggs are not for sale".
Would you rather have it that the likes of Koo, Henry Rix, Colin Davey & Thommo get a free ride and are allowed to eat well
October 6, 2009 at 23:46 #252189The only reason I have come on this site and mentioned Hugh is because I would like other punters to benefit from his knowledge. I have been unsuccessful punting most of my life and I think this presents an opportunity to change that. You pay your money and take your chance. Perhaps The HON KERR does not require guidance in the area of equine investment, most of us do !
October 7, 2009 at 00:00 #252191I applaud your work in undermining the likes of Koo and Thompson if they profit from punters for variable tips. However, Hugh does not charge, nor does the site, and he points people in the right direction. Surely that in turn deserves some applause. And as previously said, he explains his reasoning which, hopefully, encourages better thinking about the game.

October 8, 2009 at 01:24 #252361Mr Kerr
You aren’t on here a wet week yet you are taking it upon yourself to protect us gullible forumites from mysterious dark forces. Naff off. There is more collective racing knowledge on here than you will ever possess and we are well capable of discerning when someone is trying it on: spammers have an average life of 2 days on TRF. This thread IMO was an honest attempt to highlight some stellar tipping on behalf of Mr Taylor who has been a revelation in his appearances on ATR and in his writings on their website. His results speak for themselves and his approach to winner finding has been illuminating to many of us- the work he must put in is staggering. Sadly I can’t see him lasting long at ATR as greater things beckon, so if you don’t mind we’ll continue to read and learn while we can.
You can bog off to wherever you dream up your massive conspiracy theories and pick another forum to protect.October 26, 2009 at 06:37 #255425Has Hugh disappeared fro, ATR ?
October 26, 2009 at 07:09 #255427He was on lunchtime on Friday.

October 26, 2009 at 09:35 #255447His tips page wasn’t available yesterday so whether that means he never had any tips or that he and atr have parted company I do not know.

harderOctober 26, 2009 at 10:09 #255452Explanation on ATR site:
"Editor’s note: We’ve had lots of emails regarding Hugh Taylor’s current whereabouts. Don’t worry, he’ll be back on attheraces.com in a few days – we felt he deserved a short break after registering his eighth consecutive month of profit."
October 26, 2009 at 13:47 #255475I can assure you Noland, when i looked on atr yesterday afternoon his tips were not there. They may be now, I dont know.
Anyway, your not my mother!!! You have no right to tell me to look harder, lol!
