    Or alternatively, a punters plot.

    Lay out the grand sum of £50 on some multiples overnight, then sit and lay the same horses at unrealistic low prices all day long. And maybe back the likely winners as well at enlarged prices.

    In my view the strangest thing in this whole situation was the performance of the last runner, Blood Eagle. He was out of the handicap and 22 pounds wrong at the weights. Why would you want him to perform so well on those terms (beaten just over 2 lengths) ?.

    Coggy,

    Because the lowest grade of race these days is 0-100, so there would never be an opportunity to run off a mark of 50 anyway.

    By running well, he’ll get the mark raised to a level that will still leave him on bottom weight, but reduce the risk of being eliminated.
