She is something like 0 from 30 under both codes.
Do you reckon she could need at least 50 or 100 runners to get her first winner?

I don’t know. The horses she has aren’t much good, so it might take that long. Has she said she’s going to stop at a winner?

No, it’s just how spread bets are called sometimes: ” stop at a winner…..” And you get the chance to either go under or over.

Oh I see thanks. Um, under 100 then. Over 50.

    73, as it turned out.
Ridden by Nicola Currie- only her 5th winner of the year.

Nice to see her having the first winner of her 2nd training career. I wonder how long she’ll carry on given her limited success over jumps. Quite sure she’s as good as she used to be, but other trainers buy much better horses from other sources.

I feel it will be a bit of an uphill struggle for her with her present crop.
That’s not to say she can get the best out of them, especially if she picks
the right races. Good luck to her, it says a lot that she’s prepared to have
a second go. She will be under no illusion what she is up against, and I’d
dare anyone to challenge her for having a second go, that would be a scream,
and a short (two words) conversation. Matt Chapman need not apply.

when I heard what she said about her reasons for starting up again, it seemed she missed the job and racing the horses. normally a start up trainer wouldn’t get this level of attention or the number of horses she has, probably highlights how hard it is to get going as a trainer.

Wish her all the best as long as she enjoys it and the owners and horses are happy then long may she continue.
