Hayley Turner is riding in fantastic form at the moment …. she actually reminds me of Kieran Fallon in a finish lately.
I’m serious ,I hope she sticks around and gets on a good horse before she finishes.
August 15, 2018 at 07:20 #1363056I hope she sticks to the riding, too.
August 15, 2018 at 21:18 #1363103Fair play to her riding-wise, hope she does stick at it, as i can’t stand her as a pundit.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!August 16, 2018 at 18:48 #1363164Mmmmmmmmmm I am not convinced!!
maybe its my pocket talking but Roundhay Park on Saturday IMO she should have won on!!
I could be opening a can of worms here but she doesn’t have the strength in a finish and I am not talking about being whip happy just physical power to get the last ounce in a finish.
I wait for the backlash
August 16, 2018 at 23:46 #1363187I would have said that too Raymo but for her fantastic riding of Dream Ahead to win the July Cup from Bated Breath in 2011. He can be a real handful and the fact that Hayley was riding almost put me off backing him as he is a horse who needs a strong rider.
Hayley kept him going up the hill after battling hard for a position to win by half a length, the best July Cup finish I have seen.
Since she has come back to racing full time she seems to be going from strength to strength and with The support of some top trainers she will hopefully be hammering home more great winners before The end of the season. The one lady jockey that I don’t think gets it right every time is Josephine Gordon just a 9% strike rate this year (31 wins from 351 rides) to Hayleys’s 15% (28 wins from 190 rides).
Good to see her back riding.
Here she is following up her first Group 1 success with another on Margot Did in The Nunthorpe…
