    I was at Newbury when he won the Lockinge. He was certainly a very good horse that day. RIP.

    Sad to learn Hawk Wing has passed away, but good to hear he had a long life.

    That Lockinge performance where he won by 11 lengths will always remain one of the most visually impressive Group 1 performances I’ve seen.

    If you took Hawk Wing out of the race, it’s amazing to think that a similar comment could have been made about the runner-up Where Or When, who was himself 8 lengths ahead of the rest of the field.
