…ley
When riding 25 winners and earning over £ 4.5 million in a single season isn’t enough:
Couldn’t find a better place to do it

I think this case is so ambiguous that nobody outside HKJC stewards have full detials of the case.
Local media reported one trainer and one former horse owner provided their statements in this inquiry. However there is no mention at all on their roles in this inquiry.
It just looks suspicious.
November 14, 2023 at 14:53 #1670443Of all the places to get caught up in this type of nonsense……when you see the money he has earned from just riding 25 winners…… absolutely

He stated he ‘accepted that he had engaged in “inappropriate communication” with individuals about horses he was riding but claims that it “in no way related to giving tips, betting, wagering, race-fixing or accepting payment ahead of race-riding”……WTF!
The kicker is this comment: Bentley said the inquiry related to “an isolated incident” and that he had not researched the rules of racing in Hong Kong deeply enough following his move to ride full time in the jurisdiction in April 2021.
Really Harry – even a cursory enquiry into racing in any jurisdiction (let alone in Hong Kong which is known to take an extremely dim view of this type of behaviour and rightly level draconian punishment for those caught) would tell you to stay as far away from this type of thing as possible.
I have zero sympathy for him.
