    You’re making me feel hungry.
Loved pancakes, just like yours Jac.
    Plenty of sugar and lemon.
    Then I got diabetes.
Nowhere near as good without.

Nobody makes me pancakes these days
If I’m feeling for a treat I’ll occasionally go to biddy’s burger bar and have pancakes with sugar, maypole syrup and ice cream

I mix it up from year to year – this year it’s with Bonne Maman chocolate and orange spread.

Inspired by all the above and with 3 pancakes left over I decided to get out the Tiptree Jam Factory Morello Cherry 🍒 and M & S squirty cream…it was delicious. but lemon and castor sugar are still favourite. :good:
Hope you all enjoyed yours :good:

I’ve eaten EIGHT and am experiencing significant difficulty in moving.

Happy Pancake Day, Jac – and everyone.

‘this year it’s with Bonne Maman chocolate and orange spread’

I’ve tried this and despite being a huge fan of both orange flavoured chocolate and painfully middle class things in jars it didn’t do it for me. You’re obviously making up for me in racking up eight!

I got through five, 1. Cheddar, onion and mushroom, 2. Spinach and feta, 3. Nutella, 4. Sugar and lemon, 5. Ice cream and blueberries.

Incidentally, Bonne Maman do a Nutella clone and it’s superb.

It was bang average and nothing to write home about, tbh, Richard.

I consider your eclectic mix of pancakes outstanding, particularly the cheddar, onion and mushroom.

Not had a pancake in years. Remember well as a kid when Dad flipped the pan and one stick to ceiling :yahoo: then fell on floor so we let him eat that one.

Always preferred my pancakes with lemon and icing sugar. Maybe with a smear of strawberry jam too.

Only on two occasions have I attempted to make a pancake…
The first one was made way too thick and it looked like Yorkshire Pudding. I ate about a third of it but decided it tasted like the smell of a old slippers. It got binned.

The second time I made one still turned out thick but overcooked and stiff. So I went out outside in the dimness and flung it as far as I could like a discus across the neighbouring gardens.

When I first went to France, loved their Crepes Suzette.

Being a positive person in the moment, now I’ve finished the pot, I find it a lot easier to be ruthlessly objective and say I won’t be buying it again in a hurry – bang average is kind.

I do like some Bonne Maman products, though – their blackcurrant mousse, for example, though the pots are tiny and hardly value for money.
