‘And tbh I am not interested in F1 either.
So I’m not interested in Lewis Hamilton’
Exactly, you’re not interested so you don’t start a topic about it and nor do you take delight in him losing by a fag paper.
I’ve never seen anyone who is suddenly over the moon about Verstappen winning take the slightest interest in the sport before (a phenomenon I’ve seen on other forums, again from people with broadly similar views on everything) so you have to ask why. You never get an answer so you have to work it out for yourself.
December 17, 2021 at 14:44 #1572956Tbh – and probably shamefully – I didn’t even know Hamilton had lost anything by any margin.
I do, however, know Joe Biden is President of the USA, and, depressingly, who the Prime Minister of the UK is.
Even living in my Hampshire cave, I can’t escape some grim realities!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"December 17, 2021 at 17:54 #1572998Personally think this giving Knighthoods for achieving ‘greatness’ in sport is now overblown.
With Hamilton not too hard to win F1 when it’s down to a far superior car but now he had a worthy opponent in a car to match he throws a pique of fit and refusing to attend the awards …… seems he doesn’t accept defeat as graciously as the adulations of supporters.Murray for me is another not much better than average sportsman who’s had his career achievements blown out of proportion. While he was able to beat the best occasionally he just couldn’t do it on a regular basis to earn such accolades in my opinion.I’m sure you have your own you could add.
good luck to allDecember 18, 2021 at 00:08 #1573044I quite like F1 but didn’t think Lewis Hamilton deserved a Knighthood for his achievements however…
maybe it had a little something to do with this..
It seems diversity rules at the moment, we see it every time an advert appears on our screens on quiz shows, discussions/debates and none more so than on ‘Strictly’ and it must be
Rose and Gio waltzing off with the title this weekend after some stunning performances.
