    had a bad fall at killarney this evening

    watched atr for over half an hour for news but they said nothing

    any news?

    It was a horrific fall, one of the worst I’ve seen, not totally unlike Thenameescapesme’s that broke his back earlier this week, sadly Hairy Molly is no more.

    That is really sad, I remember seeing her win the Cheltenham bumper. As her form deteriorated after that, I was surprised she hadn’t been retired for breeding

    That bloke in Charley Varrick was called Molly, don’t know whether he was hairy though.

    A horse that stayed in the memory, partly because of the name/gender issues, but I seem to remember McCoy tipping the horse before Cheltenham [did he ride him in the bumper?]. I thought at the time someone said that a Hairy Molly is a caterpillar, but perhaps they were joking or my memory has gone walkabout again. Either way, a sad end.
