De ja vu again or what the French say win race last year and do it again.
York run was disappointing but can write off one bad run for him
One of my favourite races of the flat season, ever since I backed Courageous Buzby placed 3rd at 33/1 in 1980. I used to mark the Friday meeting down every season as a ‘must do’ before they moved this race to the Saturday.
A lot taken on trust but King’s Gamble has some decent form and worthy of interest at 14/1 e/w 1/5 4 places. Two things to be taken on trust, it’s a seasonal debut and a drop back in trip, but last run was a close up 2nd in a Group 3 and was 3rd in a 6f Group 2 as a 2yo. Lightly raced and there could be better to come.
