Great to see Faivoir back in training, a proper old favourite, though think it would be wise to see how’s he’s looking this weekend.

Cracking Rhapsody is a very likeable type, and probably a more realistic option right now.

There’s a few Irish catching my eye too, but at 33’s, I was tempted by Dedicated Hero, though I did expect to see him up in triple this year. Can’t see him shortening right now, so I can wait.

No bet for now, but at the odds I’d definitely bet Dedicated Hero nearer the time, while could make a good case for Cracking Rhapsody, and a good few of the Irish

    No bet right now

Cracking Rhapsody is a favourite of mine too. But he was well tonked in this last year. Has he improved since? Without doubt, but he’s had no run for months now after being pulled out of Aintree last weekend.

I’m also of the opinion that he needs stepping up now.

It’s boring but I think Celtic Dino has a great chance and 10’s is very fair at this stage. Pretty sure Sam Thomas did say after Chepstow he would be taking his chances in this as well???

Edit: my bad, he said the fighting fifth.

I haven’t bet either of them yet, but if both make the next confirmation stage, then I will bet both Jurancon and King William Rufus

Nothing leaps off the page but Iberico lord would be the most solid of options of those quoted at present.

I’ll probably bet him at 16’s if he’s there at 5 day stage.

This is looking like being a pretty underwhelming renewal of a race that is usually one of my favourites.

Celtic Dino’s early season target was the Welsh Champion Hurdle, which he won, for which he was duly punished by the handicapper. He’s good but not my type of price.

Mirabad looks a lurker if Skelton can improve him but the market move has beaten me to it.

I’ll chance Castle Carrock with Tom Cannon jocked up. Alan King has a good record in the race too.

Wary that there’ll surely be R4’s involved here, but having had a good look at Fiveonefive, went with Dedicated Hero and Laafi.

Preferred Dedicated Hero for Betfair Stayers, but managed to to cash him out for that anyway. Laafi is a promising type, and I do follow the yard, for all I’ve had a few losers recently from those I bet

Started chipping away, but conscious of the R4’s, and more importantly, my terrible record in this.

    Two Edits

Third Edit – Faivoir small top up 100’s

    Laid of Laafi, small profit
    Added Faivor 70’s

    Dedicated Hero 33’s EW6Pls
    Faivoir 100’s

I will side with my old pal Favoir here. Only 4 lengths downs in the County Hurdle (soft) this year and won the County Hurdle on soft last year. Now on the same weight. Surely worth a punt at a big price.

No surprise I’ll be backing Dedicated Hero , soft ground and a stiff finish should be right up his street , Sandy had 2 run well on Wed at Ayr and with a run under him in hoping like Bobby for a big run

Added Cracking Rhapsody. His 6th place in the County Hurdle looks very strong. He won the Scottish Champion Hurdle after that and is only 2 pounds higher. This doesn’t look the strongest race … should be capable to be placed at least.

I’ve added Castle Carrock as King is very bullish ( it’s named after my home village ) to Dedicated Hero , DH has been backed e.w and also done the reverse forecast
