L’ami and Royal Auclair for me.
If you go to back a certainty always buy a return ticket.

April 14, 2007 at 07:58 #51447Point Barrow is the one this year.
Sneaky bit of each way on Homer Wells.
Big runs from Silver Birch, Dun Doire and Numbersixvalverde.

April 14, 2007 at 11:25 #51453Point Barrow
I’ve got Homer Wells in the sweep at work, but I suspect the ground has gone against that one.

April 14, 2007 at 11:48 #51455Clan Royal
Dun Daoire
Slim Pickings
Graphic Approach
Liberthine
Reasons: Good jockeys, not overaced this season, all won at higher class races, none overburdened with weight. big prices, back them all e/w.

(not sure why)
April 14, 2007 at 16:10 #51457just a quick thank you to Mr Ladbrokes for giving me 40/1 for the winner
it was much appreciated  ;)
April 14, 2007 at 16:17 #51458Mixed emotions for me, I had a shortlist of 7, Silver Birch was on it but I didn’t back him as I though the ground was aginst him (just as I did with Numbersixvalverde last year,) I had him in the works sweepstake though so I’ve got £40 to console myself with.
From now on unless it is an utter utter bog I’m going to ignore the ground as a factor.
The 4 I backed of the 7 on the shortlist were Bewleys Berry, Point Barrow, Hedgehunter & Longshanks. BB went well for a long way but seemed to knuckle over at Bechers 2nd time round.
