I want to be against the fav in this. I’m thinking that Solo could maybe sneak into the frame here, but I’m only getting two places for the 12-1. Sod it, two places it is
December 18, 2024 at 08:03 #1715626Tahmuras really disappointed me at Haydock, but I’m giving him a second chance, and this comes with its own risk, as he’s also entered in the silver cup. I’ve taken 10-1
December 20, 2024 at 15:21 #1715791Missed the 4’s Jungle Boogie, but given it’s a busy Saturday, with a busy week ahead, it was really just for a bit of interest at those odds.
I’ll hopefully catch him again at more generous odds later in season, but if he hits 4’s again, I’ll have an interest
Jungle Boogie 7-2
December 20, 2024 at 23:35 #1715885Fil d’Or at 13-2 for me.
He’s race fit and beat Jungle Boogie comfortably in the Hilly Way last year- over a trip too short for both.James du Berlais isn’t trying and Iroko might not be either.

The more I know the less I understand.
December 21, 2024 at 09:26 #1715919Jungle Boogie in a double with Milldam
December 21, 2024 at 13:04 #1715955I’m another with Jungle Boogie
December 21, 2024 at 13:31 #1715959Me too.
A race with not much between them on form. That said, Iroko has a massive chance on potential. However, will he again be ridden badly in order to keep his handicap down for the National?
Couldn’t have been ridden much worse last time out – giving the leader / winner plenty of rope before being asked a serious question.James Du Berlais tipped up last time. Usually a good jumper as he showed over National fences. Looked the winner of the Topham for a long way. Hasn’t won as many races as his ability should. Often seemingly finds little.
Fil D’Or Runner-up to El Fabiolo in the Hilly Way in December last year but hasn’t gone on from that. Had Jungle Boogie well beaten there, but that was only the latter’s second chase and 2m didn’t suit.
Jungle Boogie is getting old but is lightly raced and being fresh is a big plus with him. Ran well for a long way in the Gold Cup last time out, before not staying. Suggesting may even be more improvement to come despite his age. Might get a soft lead too and have a positional advantage over the favourite.
I’ve backed Jungle Boogie @ an average of 4.08 with a part saver @ an average of 1.93 to finish in the first 2.
Value Is EverythingDecember 21, 2024 at 13:39 #1715960James Du Berlais at 4/1 seems a very good price to me.
December 21, 2024 at 13:58 #1715966Classy, despite the jumping out to the left.

Value Is EverythingDecember 21, 2024 at 14:00 #1715968Well done Bobby and everyone else on. Just too scopey and classy for Fil d’Or.

I thought he was about to be caught at the last but he found more, on the run in. - AuthorPosts
