and friston forest ewA really tough race to get right this one. Not such a strong race really.
Schiapparelli looked like a good galloper last time he ran and I can see why he’s fav against this lot.
I watched Mourilyan in Dubai and though he was impressive when second to Veracity. But not so sure how he’s going to fare tomorrow. Centennial is a nice horse and looked good at the start of the season but has been very disappointing since so I am pretty stuck with this.
If i do have a punt I think I’d rather go for Mourilyan than anything else at the current 8/1 for a bit of an each way steal at leastEnroller sure to get his ground here, although I would wonder about the trip but sure enough most do here.
Love to see the old boy do it though.
Very tough to oppose Schiaparelli, who should beat the rest comfortably for speed but if he can stay in a Cup race remains to be seen. A class above though, so the 9/4 seems generous.
Compared with past Goodwood Cups, this is an average field, to say the least.
Schiaparelli should have enough about him to outspeed and outsay his rivals.

Such was my confidence in Schiaparelli winning this race that I had three separate win single bets on him prior to the off – at different prices. The first and only time I have done this – and probably the last. Thankfully it paid off.
