I remember stating on here at Royal Ascot that Brown Panther wouldn’t beat

    Census

when they met again, well todays the day and even though i cant put a winner up on here i’m still confident that Census is the better horse,we’ll soon find out!

    Census

    £235 win 9/2 Tote, 3,05pm Newbury.

On a line through Nathaniel, this years Leger has the makings of living up to its Classic status.I said after Royal Ascot that Richard Hughes ride on

    Census

cost him the title and that if he meets Brown Panther again there’s only one winner,i took the 40’s on the Highclere horse to the full £6 on offer at the time, his subsequent run against another future Cup horse in Masked Marvel only confirms that Census is a serious Leger horse too,it all looks a race to savour on paper for now!

    17.07.11

Thats more like the Foresight we expect from me! I even got a tenner on at 13’s in running, incredible market there as

    Census

touched 7’s after a furlong and then 9’s and incredibly a high of 17’s!! What race were they watching?

That’s more like it Gord! Haven’t seen any of it yet but look forward to catching up tomorrow. Listened to the Excelebration race and it sounded impressive. Holiday paid for. Got him Friday night at 11-4 and not surprised to see him heavily backed. Definitely a Group 1 horse unlucky to be around at same time as Frankel.

Fu*ckin Frankel Form Franked a Fu*ckin gain Joni!

    Excelebration

certainly looked the part today,he looked like a horse who is improving leaps and bounds and if he takes on Frankel in the QE11 i’ll be on him! Well i have tried every other horse to beat the bloody thing! Anyone who reads this thread knows what i think of

    Seville

    so i have to back

    Treasure Beach

tonight in Chicago,he showed a telling turn of foot to beat my horse in the Irish Derby and i have always thought this fellow had speed rather than stamina so the 11/4m should suit, who says this years 3yo’s aren’t any good?

    Treasure Beach

    £440 win 6/4 Sporting Bet,9,52pm Arlington.

Being a keen Golfer myself,i like to think i’m a good judge of the Professionals on the current circuit,

    Lee Westwood

is my local pro and he’s a guy who i have admired for many years,Lee is the Professionals Professional and has always been a fine ambassador of the sport,he can play the game too but and its a BIG BUT,he lacks the X-Factor required to win a Major! He is playing his usual solid game at the moment in this years USPGA the 5th Major, sitting nicely -3 par and is now the current 5/1 fav.I’m afraid it doesn’t tempt me in the slightest as Lee just hasn’t got the shots in his armoury to win a Major, whats worse is he hasn’t got the bottle either,i can see him leading the final round at some point and still blowing it unfortunately.Everybody knows that Chubby has Darren,Rory and Graeme in his stable as well as Lee and that is what Lee has to remember every shot he plays,of the 4,only Rory has the X-Factor so if Darren can do it so can Westwood,my heart wants him to win,my head says he wont! :(

Nice win for TB Gord. Damn and blast these rancid 3 year olds!! I’ll only whisper it……"He was beaten 11 lengths by Frankel……ssshhhh" Sorry. Please come over and join us on this side Gord! It is soo much more fun enjoying watching hm win than it must be hoping he might one day lose.

As for the golf – couldn’t agree more about Westwood. He will have to be handed one on a plate I fear. Haven’t seen any of this tournament but the Yanks always seem to win this one.

Its been P*ssing it down all day up here in Gods Country and if Ascot has had half as much the going will be affected. So long as

    Cityscape

gets his toe in,he’ll put it down to the 2 big guns and at 20/1 i shall support him to do so,put it this way if the ground does come up soft he will go off a 10/1 shot and that price is still too big for this fellow,i like risks and i’ll be hoping the rain gets into the course.

    Cityscape

    £100 e/w 20/1 Tote Queen Anne,1/4 1st 2 places.

    I have rated

    Cityscape

a genuine Group 1 horse for a long time now,he never let me down on unsuitable ground at Royal Ascot even if 3rd place paid nothing! Tomorrow now that he has his conditions i believe he will get his Group 1 victory,i have snaffled all the 11’s and 12’s on the machine i could get but have only got 8/1 from the High st!

    Cityscape

    £250 e/w 8/1 Bet365, Prix Jacques le Marois.

Cheers Ginge,i’m just hoping Goldikova runs as its a 3 horse race if she does and

    Cityscape

has to be placed at worse, imo.

Not sure I can agree with you on this one Gord. Take out Goldikova and there are 7 horses priced between 7 and 12-1. Looks a wide open affair to me and a cracking race.

Having been in the area for the last week I can tell you there has been a ton of rain  and the favourite has to be vulnerable.

I was so impressed with Strong Suit last time out that my preference would be for Mutual Trust at 7’s. Unbeaten and progressive and the 3 year olds continue to carry all before them. On this ground I would rate Immortal Verse the main danger.

The ground has come right for Cityscape so there should be no excuses but I am just not sure he is Group 1 material. We’ll soon see!
