IT’S BACK

Sadly no mini leagues to join here we all have to play as individuals but just to advise everyone interested in playing in this contest within TRF as a mini competition, as we did with the Meydan Festival 2021, that
Stable Selection opens on…
FRIDAY 23RD APRIl 2021.
Point scoring will begin on…
SATURDAY 1ST MAY 2021That gives us plenty of time to work out our stables before
scoring kicks off on 2000 GUINEAS DAY AT NEWMARKETWill keep bumping up this Thread with reminders to get our teams together starting next Friday, obviously best to wait until closer to 1st May before confirming your first team.
Rules are on the Godolphin website but please feel free to ask any questions here and either myself or one of our regular players will help provide the answer.
The rules can be a bit of a minefield when first playing this contest.THE COMPETITION WILL RUN BETWEEN SATURDAY 1ST MAY and SATURDAY 6TH NOVEMBER 2021
Within that time slot you are allowed to Change your Stable – 5 TIMES
That works out at about 1 Swap per month..so be careful not to use your swaps up too early in the contest
This can mean swopping out your entire stable of 10 Horses or changing just 1 or 2 horses
either action counts as 1 SWAP so use them wisely and try to keep at least
1 Swap for the L’Arc de Triomphe Meeting Saturday 2-3rd October 2021 and Champions Day at Ascot – Saturday 16th October 2021.Qualifying Horses with entries in both Europe and the USA will score points
Hope that covers some of the R & R’s for this enjoyable comp and look forward to welcoming some new players along with the usual suspects.
Not sure about any sort of prize for the closest on the Godolphin Leaderboard for this comp but will try to think something up during the course of the competition..just for fun prizes possibly a mug with your favourite Godolphin horse, something will come to mind.

If anyone has anything to add to the above please feel free to do so …
Will keep bumping this up as the days go by, to keep it active until Stable Selections start next Friday.
Jac

April 21, 2021 at 15:03 #1537373Hello to everyone
News of a new Tote Ten to Follow for the coming Flat Season.
The following is copied from Racing Post website
Even before the jumpers have their last hurrah, entries can be made for the Flat competition, with the window opening at 8am on Saturday, April 24. Players will have until 11am on May 1 to confirm stables, with point-scoring starting that day.
There will be 25 bonus races through the season, starting with the 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas on the first weekend of the competition and ending with the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes and Qipco Champion Stakes on the final day, October 16.
There is no commission take-out by the Tote so all entry fees are distributed as prizes. The winner takes 35 per cent of the pot and there are prizes to 500th place. The winner of the 2020 competition collected £64,425.50. Five monthly winners (May-September) win 3 per cent of the pool.
Details of how to enter, plus a list of bonus races, will appear in the Racing Post on Saturday. The following day’s edition will carry a four-page guide on key horses to consider and tactics needed
Much work to do in the next week or so. Thinking Caps on for both Godolphin & Tote Competitions.
Still cannot locate the Crystal Ball which would really help. All the best and stay safe and well
John
April 21, 2021 at 23:06 #1537424Thanks for the heads up on the Tote 10 To Follow for the Flat John
I think I might have missed that one,
Will definitely have to get my thinking hat on now and it’s not going to be easy.
We have a lot of lucky pins to sharpen and crystal balls to locate don’t we? JacBest of luck John & Andre.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 21, 2021 at 23:08 #1537425PS ..hopefully The Tote 10 To Follow for the flat season will also include a Royal Ascot Competition as they did with Cheltenham this year. Hope they make it easier to join though as I completely lost it for the Cheltenham contest.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 22, 2021 at 11:01 #1537461Hello again
Jac with reference to the Tote website.
I enter using my laptop computer so have no experience of using a mobile phone.
What I would say is give yourself plenty of time and make sure before you press
the confirm button to enter. Like I was told at school many years ago think before
you ink.If I remember correctly last year under different circumstances the competition started
at Royal Ascot, so a mini league is a possible chance this time. Many Thanks
John
April 22, 2021 at 11:46 #1537467Just found this on the attheraces website.

Need all the help we can get
Thanks again
John
April 22, 2021 at 23:30 #1537558Hi again John
Thank you for that very interesting Godolphin Stable Tour in France and for the ‘Think before you Ink’ advice..I think I could wear the t-shirt the times that has caught me out..ha haHopefully Nathan or Graham will be able to set up a mini league for the Ten To Follow for the flat.
I remember last years my girl Glass Slippers winning the Breeders Cup Sprint
she kept me waiting the whole competition for that win but it was worth it.
Best of luck John and all of us playing Godolphin Fantasy League
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 23, 2021 at 01:09 #1537563I’ll set up a TRF league later for the Tote Ten To Follow Flat once
the competition is open after 8am on Saturday 24/04/21. I can update
the league as I have been doing with the Jumps version which finishes
on Saturday. Thanks John for highlighting it, I hope we get as good
a turn out for it as we did with the jumps.Looking forward to the Fantasy League getting started Jac, I see that
selections are up for grabs later today. I’ll give them a good looking
over over the weekend. Get your pins at the ready
April 23, 2021 at 20:34 #1537627The pin is hovering Graham but unsure where to fall at tbe moment I think the first stable is always the hardest to put together.
Will look out for the TTF for the flat TRF League and again another tricky stable to find for this year but can’t wait to play.

Best of luck to all..
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 24, 2021 at 12:17 #1537712Thanks Jac,
am happy to make up the numbers and have selected a team
not expecting much but if I start well will have to carefully select swaps possibly on big meetings, Royal Ascot, Goodwood, Champions Day, Arc etc.. I’m not going to confuse myself at this stage though
good luck all…
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
April 27, 2021 at 18:17 #1538205I’m almost there Nathan just waiting to make sure no non runners over the weekend and same with my Tote 10 To Follow for the Flat but will have to press the ‘confirm stable’ button soon or I’ll talk myself put of my choices and that’s probably not a wise move.
It’s all good fun..Jac
