Noel Meade’s star hurdler is making his long awaited reappearance tomorrow in the 6:05 Navan after 2 years off.

Has loads of top class form to its name, winning the Fighting Fifth, Christmas hurdle and was favourite for the 2010 Champion hurdle where he got injured.
Rated 164, was one of the best hurdlers around but has been off for so long.
Interesting to see how he runs.

Good to see him back. Let’s hope he retains all of his old ability

Here here! 50/1 currently for the Champion Hurdle, or could be an interesting prospect if sent chasing. That could all seem very premature if he bombs out in his next few runs but would love to see him back to his best eventually.

I’d back the old monkey in the Fighting Fifth and Christmas Hurdle if he shows a twinkle of the old ability on his next couple of runs. Go Native takes plenty of work to get fit, so it will be worth ignoring if he bombs out on seasonal debut. I just want to see him travel well for the first 2/3 of the race.

As much as I like Go Native to a point, I think he is too

    Harchibaldean

to win a championship race at Cheltenham.

I see he’s entered at Galway on the flat again next week. Anyone know when he’s likely to revert to hurdles?

Good to see him back to form. Apparently he goes for the Morgiana next followed by one of the Christmas hurdles.

Was good to see him back on the racecourse.

Looked to be a nice performance too.

Small bit of insurance to Grandouet, took 33s, reckon he is a good each way chance, more place than win. Could go very short if winning The Morgiana Hurdle. Was so impressive last time out, even if it was an egg and spoon race.

Is running in the MORGIANA HURDLE tomorrow against Hurricane Fly.

Looks to be a cracking race, if Go Native is back to best and jumps well he could be a lively threat to the Fly especially with fitness on his side.

Hurricane Fly 8/15, Go Native 10/3

    Thoughts??

Great to see Go Native back – shades of Harchibald, a proper Meade hurdler, travels like Ferrari.

This race throws up the occasional turn-up, and there must be question marks about the top two in the betting – The Fly isnm’t always the best FTO, and although its terrific to see Go Native back, he obviously has question marks against him, I don’t feel these question marks are factored in to his price.

I have backed Unaccompanied, fit from a spin on the flat and potentially still on the upgrade given her age and I think she is a great price.

Awful to see the old boy tip up like that; hope he’s ok tomorrow. Isn’t Hurricane Fly tiny?

Looks to have retained a fair bit of ability too!

He was traveling very well it seemed.

Would be nice to see him entered up in the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton, as the flatter tracks, in my opinion, suit him better. Don’t think he is much of a Cheltenham horse.

Maybe you’re right Gaz but he’s a Supreme winner and Punchestown is anything but flat. The Christmas Hurdle could see an array of cards being played late with himself and Grandouet! :)

Good luck to those with big prices, but he was off for 939 days. Horses who’ve had such long-term injuries are rarely good ante-post prospects.

And even at his best, scraping home against the likes of Starluck and Medermit suggest he will need to not only have retained his ability but improved quite a bit.
