It’s been a disadvantage to be drawn near the stand rail this year and he’s furthest away from the best pace too. Ran really well in Sommerville Tattersall. Rich And Famous only found Best Solution (who I’ve backed for the Autumn Stakes at Newmarket) too good on deut in the maiden at Goodwood Festival… And winner had the advantage of a previous run. R&F won his maiden next time with a lot in hand. Unlike the rest here, front run on oth starts. Could easily get his own way in front and seemingly well drawn. That said, yesterday’s draw didn’t seem quite as much of an advantage as earlier in the year. De Boss Man is the other possible pace angle (on stand side) which is why I’ve saved at a fairly big price. Hopefully that one will bring the favourite in to it. Wasn’t a great field for the Mill Reef, but second Perfect Angel and dropped in class here – drawn low in 3.
