GT – What’s your tissue price for Gustav Klimt?

    Here’s my 100% Book, Mtoto:
    Librisa Breeze 26% 11/4
    Gustav Klimt 24% 100/30
    Sir Dancealot 16.75% 5/1
    Yafta 13% 13/2
    Breton Rock 9% 10/1
    Dream Of Dreams 9% 10/1
    Dans Dream 1.5% 66/1
    Tomyris 0.75% 132/1

Couldn’t decide whether Librisa and Gustav combined had a better or worse chance than the rest combined, but knew I just preffered Librisa’s chance to Gustav’s – hence the pair adding up to 50% with Librisa 26 and Gustav 24%. I’d say two Yafta’s would have the same chance as one Librisa, so Yafta is on 13%. Sir Dancealot would’ve been higher had there been more pace in the race. Ditto Breton Rock, couldn’t split the latter and Dream Of Dreams. Dans Dream seems outclassed, would’ve had him as under 1% but for the fact has been successful (way back) front running and Silvestre is aboard. Tomyrus hopelessly outclassed.

Gustav probably has the best recent form, but got my doubts he’ll have the speed for this trip on a sound surface (expect it to be genuine Good ground – times suggested such on Friday) unless there’s a strong pace. Can’t see that happening unless Moore makes it himself… And that would be asking GK to do something he’s never done before. If this were a mile I’d probably make him 6/4 fav, if not shorter.

Haven’t put it up on the thread, but have had a small LAY bet on Gustav Klimt @ 2.2/1.

Yes, thanks for that Kasparov. :good: I was a bit wrong there; unfortunately expected rains didn’t come Sunday. Left a small Lay bet on Betfair overnight which thankfully (surprisingly) was taken. Although it only got less than half my stakes back for Cracksman. Means my 5/2 Poet’s Word isn’t quite what it seems now. Silly me, too greedy again!

    No, Istabraq.
Poets Word acts well on a sound surface, can’t imagine him coming out unless injured and we only have a couple of days to go. Might have a saver somewhere if something else appeals as value.
