A Christmas present to you all. Agree with Boz who said about thist this price in another thread. My Stan James account was closed earlier in the year so can’t get on myself. But as this is a tipping thread…

(Make sure you take Stan James and not William Hill).Could be a very uncompetitive small field race come March. 5 runners, including a 2000/1 shot? Like most top horses at the trip Sizing and Finians could easily take the Ryanair route. Sanctuaire wouldn’t need to find a great deal of improvement on novice form to beat those two even if they did turn up. He himself wouldn’t get the longer distance; so a more likely Champion starter. Last year he waited for Aintree, but there’s no point this time around. Am pretty certain the reason for such a poor run on Saturday was the suicidal pace. Ignore that race and he’d be 10/1. Already a winner at the Festival (Fred Winter) on good ground… Do fear Sanctuaire getting worse at the start and refusing to race; but at the price is worth taking a chance. If I could get 16/1 each way at 1/4 odds – I’d be getting involved. Unfortunately for me Stan James are the only bookie doing so; William Hill 16’s is only 1/5th.

Value Is EverythingCould easily have been two from two today. Rajdhani Express going better than the winner when crumpling. Jumped reasonably up to that point, getting in too close to three out. Backed at 6/1, 4/1 SP. Carrigmorna King was easy to back in the morning before shortening up late. Jumped out to his left and may do better that way around, however, has questions to answer now after pulled up. Philip Hobbs not in good form at the moment. Something that applies even more to Theatrical Star’s trainer Colin Tizzard. May leave this form behind once stable is going better. Bally Legend ran ok in third, but if this effort is anything to go by a bit further may be ideal nowadays. Winner Changing Times looks a genuine front-runner and might have found more had Rajdhani not fallen. However, his prospects are probably reliant on how the handicapper reacts to this 7 length win.
Marshal Zukhov’s win very satisfying (see TAPK’s thread). Backed @ 7/2 and going off 2/1, making another winning day. Zukhov’s turn of foot impressive and could follow up either once reassessed or under a penalty. Won with a bit in hand. More testing fences may be a slight concern, although jumped fairly well didn’t give the fences much air. Certainly found his distance (2m), always travelling best. As I thought, Tatispout coming out meant Elenika had a soft lead early on, lucky for me The Chazer pulled his way to the front and increased the pace. Elenika and Ciceron fighting out second spot. I was a bit disappointed with the latter who’s jockey never seemed happy. The Chazer may be better off in bigger fields where his pilot can anchor him. Elenika ran ok but Paul Nicholls not his dominent self going in to Cheltenham.
