Hi Tom,I’ve made an over all profit for many years, not just the timespan of those threads. Time has finally come… Very part time carpet fitter, but my main source of income is “investing in horses”. The van’s been sold and will be giving up work entirely within the next month to become a “professional gambler”. Unfortunately, bookmakers are starting to limit and/or close accounts. Am told it’s because my average bet beats SP by over 20%. There is of course always the exchanges… But a tipster’s life would be equally as attractive and it’s always been an ambition (hence my name). Very envious and would love a job like yours Tom, if you ever need a "stand in" you know where to come!…
How did you get noticed as a tipster and have you any tips on how to become one?

I knew damn well you couldn’t do it because you haven’t got anything to copy from,had I asked you to Price the Grand National,surprise,surprise you could have done it because even though the bookmakers dont have a clue as to which will turn up there either,they have still formed a Book on it,bit like every other Ante-Post race out there. Oh Dear you have been exposed as a fake and a Charlatan!It may sound petty (it certainly wouldn’t matter for most people). But having given up my job, and wanting to be seriously considered for a tipsters job, the last thing I could do with is a couple of jealous punters casting doubt on my integrity/profits. Especially when you talk of "fact" and not opinion. Had hoped I could use this thread as part of a "cv".

It seems a hell of a lot of people knew Marten, old racing pal was an old friend of his, he got the newsletters for free. Didn’t have a good word to say about them though, but then again, he didn’t have a good word to say about anyone.
Value Is EverythingDon’t give me any of that bull about doing it for my benifit TAK. It is easy for me to take any amount of criticism "mate". But when someone in private says they have utmost respect for me and my unique and consistent way of making this game pay!… And then go on to say in effect… Don’t expect to see anything like that on the forum though, they’ve got an image to live up to… So don’t take any of the lies to heart, because it’s only an alter ego saying it. ie Not what they truly believe.
So please withdraw those accusations Gordon. Am I "a fake, cheat and charletan"?

We have 2 very good threads going to waste here which isn’t doing the forum any good and it’s coming up to real racing time ie the jumps.
The we can all go in there and call each other all the names we want……NO moderators allowed
It is really bad news all this heckling going on in the two top threads on the forum and all that will be achieved is others saying fook this and leaving.
We could start by deleting all the posts made that don’t belong in here and in TAPK unless of course you two are hell bent on destruction.
Balls in your court guys but as long as it remains inside a personal thread I’m outta here and I would ask every other member do the same.
Easily said Fist, when you are not the one being wronged. An apology for the untrue things you’ve said about me would be a start. Delete them and then I’ll see what I can do, no guarantees.
At least it seems to show a tinge of regret on your part Fist (although I could be wrong) which is a good thing.

Just so that you know TAK, Fist has not apologised, he probably still holds the views he did before deleting those posts. I have not asked him to change his views. Am sure Fist and I will have our run-ins in the future, but whether it was for the good of the forum or any other reason, I thank him for deleting. It takes more guts to do something unilaterally and risk being criticised; than you keeping on keeping on.

TAPK could not judge the book even if I’d done as he asked. He knows nothing about the subject. Although I am glad you said it Fist, otherwise I’d have been accused of being "condescending" towards him. I realise some of my posts can come over that way, but when someone clearly does not understand the way I do things I try to explain (possibly in too much detail).Ginge (Dick)
Value Is EverythingI don’t see the problem myself. If someone has a punting formula, and it works during even this flat season, then fair play. As for books, who cares ? If you want something decent to read then go buy a Charles ‘condescending’ D*ckens book.
edit :- i should point out that when i say ‘who cares about books’, i meant who cares about being annoyed or arguing over anyone making a book. I see nothing wrong with anyone making up their own books if it helps. I hope Ginge wins against the bookies using his methods.

I want those offending posts removed.Thats a very condescending way of putting ‘I would Like’ and you need to learn some manners.If I didn’t know you better I’d suggest an almost intimidating and aggressive undertone running through the above post and that doesn’t suit you.Thankfully your ‘Headmasters’ attitude doesn’t annoy me but I can certainly see why you rub people up the wrong way with this ‘Mightier than thou’ response to others questions. You have criticised my thread just as much as I have yours,suggesting I have only put up 2 winners in the past 6 months could be construed as telling Porkys and yet I couldn’t give a monkeys about deleting your insults,think of our little riposte as character building,its been a good debate now lets move on.
