29 points @ 11/1 (VC) ElzaamSuppose King will be saying I’m copying, but as I backed this one for the Jubilee, who’s copying who?

Couldn’t quicken in the Ascot ground.

Thats your account closed then!
June 21, 2011 at 14:50 #361894They hadn’t better King. Got quite a bit in their account. Haven’t had any trouble with them yet.
Stan James are still going 11’s Elzaam too, haven’t you got an account with them? Although I’ve been limited to below £5 on bets with SJ before now.
Value Is EverythingJune 21, 2011 at 15:41 #361906I have accounts with virtually them all Ginge,i have my favourites and i certainly have those who are not so favourable shall we say.Corals are brilliant with me,any race priced up anytime no problem. The Tote and Bet365 are also excellent,Ladbrokes……i’m trying to think of something nice to say,oh yeh,if ever you fancy one you can guarantee thay are about 2 points shorter than anyone else, very shrewd outfit with info/moles everywhere,The Tote have a very good team of compilers too, many times i fancy one big time and so do they,if walls have eyes the Tote are their peering through the cracks!

Lady Gibraltar desperately unlucky. Hung both ways, without which there’s not much doubt she would’ve won. Backed down to 2/1 from 11/4. Might be best with a rail to run against. My Sharona drifted throughout the morning before backed back on course. Did best of those held up. Winner Mention another Meehan two year old to show vast improvement from debut.8:20 Newbury

Isolate couldn’t get cover early and pulled her chance away. Finished last, but this race can be ignored when judging her next race (provided there’s pace in the race). Fine Threads ran her race, not good enough. Looks a race to keep an eye on with so many progressive sorts coming in to it. Winner Miss Diagnosis was always going well and pick of the paddock (tall, with scope to go on improving). Second home Masaraat had to wait for a run and is another improver. On the other hand, favourite Sacred Sheild looks one to avoid, not for the first time finding nowt.

A false rail kept runners away from the stand rail 7½ furlongs to 2½ furlongs out. This prevented runners going the normal soft ground route under the trees. Despite that, only three including runner-up Vainglory stayed far side. Winner Leviathan (in from 4/1 overnight to 5/2) probably inconvenienced and is better than distances suggest. May be able to go in again once reassessed. Those coming right over to the stands side (including Linnen’s Star) probably worth another chance to prove their worth. So too can Huzzah who goes best when racing prominently, missed the break and never in it.

Rutland Boy never in it and Jamie Spencer ending the race looking down as if something was amiss. Slight Advantage not good enough. Ardulai ran ok in third but still a bit disappointing considering his stature. Malhab El Shamaal never going on reappearance. Fadhaa ran a strange race, why did Richard Hills decide to go around the outside of the loop to race prominently? Seemed the least likely to enjoy a stamina test. After travelling well fell in a hole two out. Whiplash Willie improving for a visor an easy victor.Days Stakes 133, Days Return 175,

Value Is EverythingJune 22, 2011 at 23:15 #362121Hi GT
Re Fadhaa today (or should that be yesterday looking at time at mo!!) I thought one of strangest rides I’ve ever seen in 18 years of betting. 2F out absolutely cruising (like Pistol used too) jockey didn’t try and press the go button then or at any point and then flatered into 5th. Lookingat it just couldn’t understand the ride at all…compare it the ride to the HC favourite that was being scribbed alone of a furlong or so before fadhaa and thnk ended up coming third 3 lengths (by my memory rather than looking at official result) in front of fadhaa…. or am I talking through my pocket here…be interested to get your thoughts….also wonder what price it traded on BF 2 furlongs out

On Fadhaa’s previous start looked to be going better than the winner (and subsequent Royal Ascot victor) Brown Panther that day. 1 1/2 miles around Chester on good-firm is less of a test of stamina than over the same trip at Salisbury (with its uphill finish) on soft. If Fadhaa struggled to get home at Chester, he’s unlikely to do so in a truly run race at Salisbury. I think Richard Hills did push his mount along for a short time yesterday, but soon knew his fate and so spared Fadhaa a hard race. I don’t think the horse would have challenged for the places had he been given a more vigorous ride YD. However, with stamina doubts the way he rode the first half of the race is puzzling. I put it down to a poorly judged ride. Although I talked to a stable lad from the Barry Hills yard who told me beforehand they had ground worries too. So may be Fadhaa just could not quicken on it.
