That is interesting Mtoto, I’ll allow more for the chance of an own goal in future – although may not be continuing with football betting after this tournament.

Funniest one was a own goal assist. I was defending a post from a corner, the keeper went for the cross but half misjudged it and on his way down dropped the ball to the feet of one of their players who side footed it towards the middle of the goal. I had read the situation and got to the ball before it crossed the line and absolutely belted it first time but unfortunately the keepers reactions were too quick and he had got up and dashed back toward goal. The ball hit him clean on the forehead and past me in a flash. He was down for ages, I didn’t like him all that much either..

I was always pretty rubbish at football. Although did score (in the correct end) as a substitute for Romsey in our 13-0 victory against Millbrook B – in the Boys Brigade Cup first round. So when hearing Millbrook “A” were our opponents in the final we were very confident… Serves the “manager” right. If looking back on this thread; I could easily have remained silent when Belgium got back into the Denmark game, ie could have claimed a nice win… But instead told the truth – that I’d cashed out for a loss. The bet struck less than a minute before the Belgium goal. ie No time to put the bet up on here before Belgium scored yet I wanted to tell the truth. Just like I told the truth about the game today and yet you say I “pretend”. LOL

You’re right, I am not a football expert, as said – this tournament is my first foray into serious football betting and it may well be my last. Started well, a few bad results, then got back in profit before slipped again. Profit or loss will depend on what happens in the remaining games.
Am not like you Robbo, I don’t look for conspiracy, don’t exaggerate everything into great or useless, exaggeration just doesn’t work when looking for value. Still wish you every success Robbo.
