I am lucky enough to be heading to Punchestown for a couple of days next week. Can anyone advise me on the best way to get to the track from Dublin on public transport.
ThanksApril 18, 2008 at 18:18 #158567Bus from Busaras which is in the city centre near Connolly railway station
Should be a good service for this meeting. Takes about an hourApril 18, 2008 at 18:25 #158569I think there are shuttle buses provided. Best to check out Punchestowns website. http://www.punchestown.com I think
April 18, 2008 at 21:54 #158613The aptly titled ‘race bus’ runs from Busaras to all the tracks within striking range of Dublin. Leaves Dublin an hour and a half before the first race an comes back 15 mins after the last. Costs around E15 return and you can only purchase your ticket from the ticket desk on the day.
With it being Punchestown, there will be extra services and coaches will leave when they are full so no harm in being early and avoiding the worst of the traffic. A coach will probably leave after the second last if you need to get away quickly.April 18, 2008 at 22:04 #158614theres a local paper which, if you buy it gives you half price admission for the following days racing, saves about 10 euros; we always remember after we’ve paid full price for our tickets [is it The Herald?]. sorry to be vague but we havn’t been for a couple of years…wish we were going this year! bumped into NinaCarberry in McDonalds last time we were there…l just love Naas…
