If you draw a line under his Ascot run (short of room) he deserves to win this having previously run only a head 2nd to Rebel’s Romance in the Yorkshire Cup.

Several from that Royal Ascot race have come out and won since..Al Riffa, Al Aasy and even Candleford (looked after) who was last and is declared to run in this race.

Epic Poet is often in the frame but hoping this time he will be first past the post.
