May 5, 2007 at 18:23 #57106Geoff is a legend on the racecourse. His sense of humour is not everyone’s cup of tea but his verbal assault on Martyn Of Leicester’s dress sense will live long in the memory. He’s a decent judge of horse flesh too – he’ll push one out to bigger than the Betfair show if he doesn’t like the look of it going to post.
May 7, 2007 at 20:21 #57108I’d love to hear the verbal assault on Martyn’s dress sense – mind you from a guy who dresses as though he’s 25 & thinks a tie slung round his neck untied is the biz he doesn’t really have a lot of solid ground to stand on there!!
I can see why he’d be a legend, he’s a character alright and pretty amusing – I’ve noticed the balls of steel on some show prices too!
Mind you I’ve heard tales about him being bit of a judge of other types of flesh rather than just horseflesh too….

May 9, 2007 at 21:26 #57109wasn’t his old man prepared to back his opinion? we need that now! looks to me like some of the magic rubbed off. he obviously only plays in group class filly races..
